Left vs. Right

"WAS THE FALL OF THE

SOVIET UNION A GOOD

THING?" Stefan Molyneux vs

Caleb Maupin

I watched a good part of this debate between libertarian, Stefan Molyneux and RT journalist and leftist, Caleb Maupin.

For those who need an introduction to Maupin who I had previously liked enough:

Caleb Maupin is a member of the Workers World Party. Married to Meches Rosales-Maupin.

Caleb Maupin is a radical journalist and political analyst who lives in New York City. Originally from Ohio, he studied political science at Baldwin-Wallace College. In addition to his journalism, analysis, and commentary, he has engaged in political activism. He is a youth organizer for the International Action Center and was involved in the Occupy Wall Street movement from its planning stages in August 2011.

He has worked against police brutality, mass incarceration, and imperialist war. He works to promote revolutionary ideology, and to support all who fight against the global system of monopoly capitalist imperialism.[1]

Nothing illustrated for me the nature of the Left in its educated guise. While Molyneux could be seen as coming across as "arrogant" he at least sticks to central argument which he follows through Maupin, almost as soon as he opens his mouth is full of insults, straw man arguments and ad hominem ("what you are saying is....."

I had an example of this this very day.

I challenged these comments which seemed to be saying that while it was a disgrace that Rightists were throwing bottles and cans at mounted police it was presumably OK for BLM to be throwing bricks at a horse, making it bolt, hurting the policewoman.

Police horse bolts as thousands clash with police at Black ...

Notice, how when I challenge this individual she says "get really real". A great argument!

While I often am put off with the bias and language from the Right I find the Left to be completely off the charts with bias, mendacity and dishonesty.

It is hard to be balanced when the world is going insane.
