President Trump claims that Syria has crossed the final red-line when just two days earlier Trump vowed no regime change in Syria. Well that’s odd Trump was moving his military equipment within striking distance of Damascus the same day he was claiming there would be no regime change in Syria.

Every next US president makes you nostalgic for the previous one, but few succeed at that in less than 90 days. Trump certainly has.

US has launched over 60 missiles at Syrian army targets, mainly air bases.
Another war against another sovereign nation without any declaration of war, but hey this is the US. Nobody expects any better.
Trump had to go out to prove he was tougher than Obama but all he proved was that he was a better waterboy for al-Qaeda. Obama backed down from bombing Syria in 2013 when he understood the case for Syrian use of chemical weapons was as flimsy as the WMD allegation leveled at Iraq in 2003. Trump had no such compunctions.
Seeing it also goes against his often stated intent to stay clear of regime change operations and skepticism of the Syrian opposition so it also makes him adope.
Now let's wait for the inevitable neocon-Trump lovefest.

  1. Deep State, mission accomplished, US elite come together in perennial celebration of unconstrained use of force and aggressive war. But already complaining that its just symbolic and not enough. We demand more. We want regime change! Blood in the water.
