I
must say when it comes to the life-and-death issues of climate change
and radioactive water gushing uncontrolled into the Pacific the issue
of gay rights does not come to mind as the most pressing problem.
There
is no way that I would support such legislation in my own country,
but what ever happened to 'non-interference in the domestic policies'
of other countries.
The
demonstrators risk becoming the pawns of the western elite in an
attempt to raise anti-Russian feeling at a time when America has been
ambarassed by Edward Snowden's revelations and Russia's adherence to
international law and is seeking to punish Russia any way it can.
How
many of them are, for instance, aware that Qatar, which is to the World Cup in 2022, has outlawed homeosexuality. Will they be
baying for a boycott of the World Cup?
By
then we may well have more basic concerns - such as human survival .
