This not only breaks
the previous record high for the date of 87°F set in 1989 but is the
latest date in the summer that the temperature has ever been 90°F or
higher.
Until yesterday the latest date with 90°F or higher occurred
on August 7, 1994.
Eagle has also had 15 days this summer with a
daily high temperature of 85°F or higher. This is the most ever in
summer, breaking the previous record 13 such days in 1953.
