A quick update on Arctic ice

Here is my quick check on a day where it is clear enough to see what is happening.


This is how it looked a couple of days ago




This is the rapidly changing ice thickness

Based on that data I show where the only ice will be remaining within a shortish period of time. After that it is anyone's guess.

I gather that are might be about double the area of 1 million sq km that is regarded as a "blue ocean event"
