The law of unintended
consequences: Europe has finally started to address a humanitarian
crisis partially of its own making: the growing wave of refugees from
the war-torn Middle East. As EU members grapple with binding quotas
and the cost of refugee resettlement, is anyone in Brussels – or
NATO, for that matter – considering ending wars of choice?
