Drought in New Zealand

Reality is starting to sink in, at least with farmers, although this is being seen in the context of a severe el-Nino, not in terms of abrupt climate change.

How that is going to manifest exactly in this part of the world remains to be seen I am sure it is going to be shocking.

Once the el-Nino has passed the world is still 1.29 degrees Celsius (and counting...) warmer.

In short, we ain't seen nothin' yet.

El Nino likely to bring more misery to North Canterbury farmers

North Canterbury farmers still dealing with a drought are bracing themselves for more misery thanks to a forecast El Nino weather pattern between now and April next year.
