The alt-Right has some pretty weird ideas but the Liberal "Left" wouldn't recognise reality if it was sitting . infront of them

It is interesting to see where people are at in this. Much of the alt-Right goes with anything that Trump says and sees Iran as the “Great Satan”. Often they have a problem with evidence and, to put it mildly, their narratives are extremely mixed up.


The liberal “Left” have long gone beyond the pale and would not know reality when it is sitting right before them.

That leaves the very, very small anti-war and anti-imperialist movement.

He points his finger straight at Iran

Hal Turner, who I return to from time to time for his intelligence and for his coverage of events DAYS before it is reported in the mainstream media, and is often proves to be correct in significant cases has jumped from a "kind-off" realism to a reflexive neo-con position and has been blaming Iran for everything.

In fact even the existence of the Mullah's rule in Tehran seems to be an affront to him.

He joins the chorus of right-wingers, Fox News viewers and the majority of Trump reporters.

As an example of this he uses map of America's military bases around Iran to paint a picture of great "danger to US national interests" where most of us interpret it as a sign that Iran is encircled and that any "aggression" on the part of Iran is a reponse to the much-greater aggression of the American Empire, now well into terminal decline.

He has come out with an article today where he clearly points to Iran. It is behind a paywall because it claims to have covert intelligence to back up his assertions (usually we use the intelligence to form our assertions and not the other way round, don't we?

Apart from an assertion about limpet mines being used (and he shows some fairly minor damage) this is basically what he is saying:

• A leader in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards publicly told Iranian TV viewers on their evening news, that Iran is preparing to hit US bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan. 
• Intelligence agencies with whom I have spoken have told me directly these were attacks using "Limpet Mines."
• Forensic teams from the US Military and from certain civilian agencies, are already on their way.
• It is expected that chemical analysis of the blast residue on the hulls will severely narrow the list of potential governments involved
• Initial Intelligence Assessments point toward Iran. If chemical analysis proves this to be the case, expect war to commence with lightning speed.
• Iran was repeatedly told if they or their proxies attacked the US or our allies, it would be treated as an attack by Iran itself.

In addition he asserts:

"Covert video taken inside Iran this morning shows that country actively preparing for battle against the United States. The video below shows the deployment of Iranian air defense systems, including their "Sayyad 2 & 3" as well as their "Mersad" Surface-to-Air Missile (SAM) batteries."

The video footage shows stuff being moved around but how does that differ from Russia moving around military hardware in a defensive move from time to time.

It shows, does it not, that Iran is getting ready to defend itself against western aggression?

In addition he argues that He goes on to say that that (and he might be right in this):

"That act is already having consequences. Insurance companies from around the world are SEVERELY pressing governments for explicit and precise answers today. Some (not all) of those Insurance companies have told governments they either are told precisely what took place, OR THEY MAY CEASE INSURING OIL TANKERS OPERATING IN THE MIDDLE EAST.

"That act by Insurance carriers would immediately halt upwards of twenty five percent of the world's oil flow; strangling economies worldwide with stunning fuel price increases and dwindling supplies of fuel.

"If Iran actually perpetrated these attacks, they could --- EFFECTIVELY-- shut down Middle East Oil Shipments without ever firing a shot. Plausible deniability!

"If such attacks continue, or take place in other ports, by the end of this week, the world could see oil at $200+ per barrel. The chaos will come quickly if that takes place. Be ready."

Usually when most of us see the following what we see is that Iran is encircled by US military bases.

What Turner sees is that:

"Iran is preparing to hit US bases in Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and Afghanistan. He also pointed out that the base at Al-Dhafra is only 300 kilometers from Iran and said "our missiles will reach these bases."

Not all of Hal Turner's readers agree with his assumptions. I hope he listens.

The movement of Iranian soldiers in and out of Syria is simply regular rotation of troops. This is the same with Hezbollah.

Modern oil tankers are double hulled. Therefore, the expectation that a limpet mine attack would sink them is ridiculous.

This "attack" is purely for propaganda purposes to enrage the sheepole against Iran.

This attack was done by the mossad.
