Japan′s Mount Aso eruption triggers flight cancellations

In Japan... a volcano eruption has triggered flight cancellations in Kyushu′s Ku-ma-moto airport, as authorities issued a warning to nearby residents.

It was the first time in 19 years that Mount Aso had erupted.

It was still spewing smoke and volcanic ash over Kyushu Islan






Lava from Cape Verde Pico Do Fogo Volcano Threatens to Engulf Town

Molten lava from a volcano in the Cape Verde archipelago slid towards the town of Cha das Caldeiras on Thursday, threatening to destroy it and a nearby village four days after an initial eruption.
