Dr Leslie Cannold is an author, researcher and medical ethicist with an adjunct position at Monash University. The author of the novel The Book of Rachael and two non-fiction works and numerous chapters on medical ethics and work/life balance, Leslie has been thrice named as one of Australia's most influential thinkers and women and in 2011 was honoured as the Australian Humanist of the Year. Cannold sits as a research or community member on numerous Victorian Boards and Committees including the Department of Health’s Human Research Ethics Committee, the Victorian Board of the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia and the Mental Health Tribunal (formerly the Mental Health Review Board).
