Reports of Isfahan radiation leak - disinfo?

I would counsel caution with this report. How a neo-con newspaper comes to have this info is anyone's guess.

Washington Free Beacon Reports Radiation Leak at Iran’s Isfahan Nuke Site

3 January, 2013

Adam Kredo, writing for the neocon website the Washington Free Beacon, reports that Iran has evacuated the city of Ishahan due to a radiation leak.

The website is edited by Matthew Joseph Continetti, who is married to the daughter big league neocon, Bill Kristol. Adam Kredo is the senior writer at Free Beacon and writes for the Washington Jewish Week, the Jerusalem Post, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, and Politico.

According to Kredo and the Free Beacon, Iran issued an edict ordering an evacuation in response to high pollution levels.
However, outside observers suspect that the evacuation order may corroborate previous reports indicating that a uranium enrichment facility near Isfahan had been leaking radioactive material,” Kredo writes.

Kredo quotes Michael Rubin, a resident scholar at the neocon think tank the American Enterprise Institute. Rubin also worked for the Pentagon’s Office of Special plans, the propaganda outfit that manufactured lies for the Bush administration prior to the invasion of Iraq in 2003. Bush and his successor have so far killed more than a million Iraqis.

Moreover, Kredo fails to mention that Isfahan is the primary location of the Iranian nuclear weapons program and the city is home to Iran’s largest nuclear research center. China and Iran signed a nuclear cooperation agreement in 1990 that reportedly included the construction of a 27 MW plutonium production reactor at Isfahan, according to GlobalSecurity.

The latest reports arrive almost exactly a year to the day after a mysterious explosion was reported at Isfahan. “All eyes on Israel after second Iranian blast. CLOUDS of smoke billowed above the city of Isfahan – evidence that the latest strike against Iran’s alleged nuclear weapons program had hit its target,” the Australian reported in 2011.

Iran said the explosion was due to an accident during a military drill. Israel said the explosion was deliberate and involved “elements we believe were involved in storage of raw materials,” the Sunday Times reported.

An incident in November, 2011, “suggests that Iran’s nuclear facilities are now coming under a concerted attack. The question is whether Israeli forces had a hand in either blast,” The Week reported.

The Free Beacon report suggests that Isfahan’s nuclear facilities are a primary target in the semi-covert war on Iran by the United States and Israel – a logical conclusion considering the plant’s importance to the Iranian nuclear program.

Adam Kredo’s report of inept Iranian officials declaring an “evacuation order fueling concerns that Iranian officials are trying to hide something” may be a way for the Washington Free Beacon and the neocons to announce a crucial victory in a long-term war waged against Iran.
