Focusing on Free Speech

Forget China. This is what they are saying about Free Speech.

"This free speech thing is nonsense. You can't go into a movie theater and yell fire!"

UN Announces Worldwide Free Speech Ban [VIDEO]

"This freedom of speech is just nonsense."

How can we point the finger at China?!

Look at Apple.

Apple Threatens To Ban Twitter From App Store, Won't Say Why: Musk

Having seen waves of extreme over-reactions to Elon Musk's take-over of Twitter - and demands for all sorts of censorship being reinstated - we have seen an armada of virtue-signaling among advertisers pulling their spending from the free-speech platform.

Following demands from numerous former blue-checks for the deplatforming of such a dangerous app as Twitter has surely become...

In a New York Times op-ed, the former head of trust and safety at Twitter, Yoel Roth, wrote Twitter under Musk's leadership is at risk of being removed from Apple and Google's app stores if they fail to follow guidelines:

"Failure to adhere to Apple's and Google's guidelines would be catastrophic, risking Twitter's expulsion from their app stores and making it more difficult for billions of potential users to get Twitter's services. This gives Apple and Google enormous power to shape the decisions Twitter makes," Roth said.

He explained, "as I departed the company, the calls from the app review teams had already begun."

...Elon Musk has just broken the news that, seemingly confirming the rumors, Apple is threatening to pull Twitter's app from its app-store... and won't say why...

Musk is not taking this lying down as one would expect, first questioning where Tim Cook hates free speech?

And in China

Apple Turned Off Protest Communication Tool Right Before Anti-Lockdown Uprising In China

Authored by Paul Joseph Watson via Summit News,

As it mulls kicking Elon Musk’s Twitter off the app store, it has now been revealed that Apple restricted the use of AirDrop in China, a move that harmed the organizational efforts of demonstrators protesting against the CCP’s lockdowns.....

...With Beijing now trying to contain what some are calling the most serious mass uprising since Tiananmen Square, Apple is apparently helping them to crush dissent.

Earlier this month, Apple restricted the use of AirDrop in China, which protesters had been using to evade censorship.

AirDrop allows local connections between devices, meaning it cannot be monitored or censored by local authorities.

However, Apple launched an update to the app in China that restricted usage to just 10 minutes, making it harder for protesters to communicate with other activists, as well as send messages nearby bystanders and tourists.

Is this a relaxation or a bow to Apple?

Chinese Officials Plan To Ease Covid Restrictions Across iPhone City

Update (1134ET):

After Chinese health officials announced an accelerating move to vaccinate older people against Covid-19, a sign the world's second-largest economy could be reopening after disastrous zero Covid policies, a new report says the metro area around the world's largest iPhone plant is set to loosen Covid restrictions.

Bloomberg reported Foxconn's massive iPhone factory in Zhengzhou, central China, is set to ease Covid control measures.

Meanwhile, whatever the justifiable criticism of Elon Musk for his transhumanism etc. he is stirring things up at Twitter which is becoming quite a happening place. I wouldn't give you 2c for Facebook, but the addicts will defend their use to the hilt.

Twitter Stops Enforcing COVID-19 Misinformation Policy

Twitter will no longer enforce its Covid-19 misinformation policy, under which users who deviated from prevailing establishment narratives frequently had their accounts locked or suspended.

The longstanding policy did not apply to misinformation from government officials, who regularly lied about things such as transmission, masks, vaccine efficacy, side effects, or any of the other 'science' which turned out to be patently false.

Twitter did not officially announce the change, rather, the company added a note to a page on its website outlining its Covid-19 policy.

"Effective November 23, 2022, Twitter is no longer enforcing the COVID-19 misleading information policy," reads the note, which follows a line that still reads: "As the global community faces the COVID-19 pandemic together, Twitter is helping people find reliable information, connect with others, and follow what's happening in real time."

Has the ex-vice chairman of Pfizer been removed from Twitter?

Yardley Yeadon is one of the best-qualified and decent people in the biotech industry but has been subject to a campaign of vilification and disinformation because he has dared to speak out.

Has Twitter closed the account of Yardley Yeadon?

Indeed he is a gentle person, unsuited and ill-equipped to handle this sort of nastiness thrown at him for simply speaking the truth.

Hear him talk for himself

Dr. Yeadon has been subject to a campaign of vilification and disinformation for speaking out on this.

Covid Vaccine is Female Sterilization – Head of Pfizer Research

Article by Health & Money News.

The vaccine contains a  spike protein (see image) called  syncytin-1, vital for the formation of human placenta in women. If the vaccine works so that we form an immune response AGAINST the spike protein, we are also training the female body to attack syncytin-1, which could lead to infertility in women of an unspecified duration.

Dr. Wodarg and Dr. Yeadon request a stop of all corona vaccination studies and call for co-signing the petition

2020NEWS at Health and Money News

On December 1, 2020, the ex-Pfizer head of respiratory research Dr. Michael Yeadon and the lung specialist and former head of the public health department Dr. Wolfgang Wodarg filed an application with the EMA, the European Medicine Agency responsible for EU-wide drug approval, for the immediate suspension of all SARS CoV 2 vaccine studies, in particular the BioNtech/Pfizer study on BNT162b (EudraCT number 2020-002641-42).

Dr. Wodarg and Dr. Yeadon demand that the studies – for the protection of the life and health of the volunteers – should not be continued until a study design is available that is suitable to address the significant safety concerns expressed by an increasing number of renowned scientists against the vaccine and the study design.StarGate TV Series Warned Us In 2001 About the
Vaccination Disaster Facing Us Today

On the one hand, the petitioners demand that, due to the known lack of accuracy of the PCR test in a serious study, a so-called Sanger sequencing must be used. This is the only way to make reliable statements on the effectiveness of a vaccine against Covid-19. On the basis of the many different PCR tests of highly varying quality, neither the risk of disease nor a possible vaccine benefit can be determined with the necessary certainty, which is why testing the vaccine on humans is unethical per se.

Furthermore, they demand that it must be excluded, e.g. by means of animal experiments, that risks already known from previous studies, which partly originate from the nature of the corona viruses, can be realized. The concerns are directed in particular to the following points:

  • The formation of so-called “non-neutralizing antibodies” can lead to an exaggerated immune reaction, especially when the test person is confronted with the real, “wild” virus after vaccination. This so-called antibody-dependent amplification, ADE, has long been known from experiments with corona vaccines in cats, for example. In the course of these studies all cats that initially tolerated the vaccination well died after catching the wild virus.
  • The vaccinations are expected to produce antibodies against spike proteins of SARS-CoV-2. However, spike proteins also contain syncytin-homologous proteins, which are essential for the formation of the placenta in mammals such as humans. It must be absolutely ruled out that a vaccine against SARS-CoV-2 could trigger an immune reaction against syncytin-1, as otherwise infertility of indefinite duration could result in vaccinated women.
  • The mRNA vaccines from BioNTech/Pfizer contain polyethylene glycol (PEG). 70% of people develop antibodies against this substance – this means that many people can develop allergic, potentially fatal reactions to the vaccination.
  • The much too short duration of the study does not allow a realistic estimation of the late effects. As in the narcolepsy cases after the swine flu vaccination, millions of healthy people would be exposed to an unacceptable risk if an emergency approval were to be granted and the possibility of observing the late effects of the vaccination were to follow. Nevertheless, BioNTech/Pfizer apparently submitted an application for emergency approval on December 1, 2020.

CALL FOR HELP: Dr. Wodarg and Dr. Yeadon ask as many EU citizens as possible to co-sign their petition by sending the e-mail prepared here to the EMA.

Welcome to "Birdwatch" - Twitter's new community fact-checking

Twitter’s ‘Birdwatch’ Community Fact-Checking Feature is Crowdsourcing Censorship

Patrick Henningsen

21st Century Wire,

29 January, 2021

Now that Trump is out of office, many have been half expecting that mainstream media and Silicon Valley’s hyper-active ‘fact-check’ brigades might calm down, have a few wheat grass smoothies and bask in their momentous victory. Unfortunately, this new class of self-styled thought police are just getting warmed up. Jack’s got a plan.

Before we discuss Twitter’s latest dystopian add-on feature, let’s first establish a few important terms of reference as to the role which Big Tech has ascended to. The bottom line is that Twitter was caught directly meddling in the 2020 US Election and the mainstream press have worked hard to obfuscate this fact. When the Hunter Biden laptop scandal materialized prior to the November election, Twitter took the unilateral partisan decision to shutdown any information on the story, and even went so far as to shutdown the account of the New York Post who originally broke the story, and even suspended the White House Press Secretary’s account for retweeting it, as well as other high-profile staffers. Emboldened by Twitter’s bombast, Democrat leaders, mainstream media and even ‘the Big Guy’ Joe Biden himself – all clung to one singular narrative claiming the Hunter Biden story was somehow untrue, baseless misinformation planted by The Russians!™ to undermine candidate Biden. Not only were they all wrong, but we later learned that partisans at FBI had in fact been quietly sitting on Hunter Biden’s laptop since autumn 2019, effectively keeping it on ice so as not to hurt Biden’s Presidential run. After the election, Twitter, along with Facebook and YouTube, then took what appeared to be coordinated action to pursue any users who dared to challenge the 2020 election result, in some cases prohibiting terms like “voter fraud” and “election fraud” on their platforms. This wave of censorship and fact-checking came into effect even before many of the court challenges. Regardless, the new ad hoc corporate ‘truth committees’ appeared omnipotent in their anointed role as information gatekeepers of the new digital public square. If that wasn’t enough, after Twitter and Facebook’s political purge, Big Tech cartel members and Democrat activists then conspired in the take-down an emerging competitor, Parler, taking the social media completely offline, and pressuring its vendors to abandon their service commitments with the new social media firm.

While this approached may have worked for them in the short-term, and indeed helped to achieve the election results they wanted, it won’t erase that fact Big Tech is guilty of the very crime which Democrats and media mavens spend 5 years trying to convince the world of when they floated the evidence-free conspiracy theory that the Russians ‘meddled’ and colluded with the Trump campaign in order to install The Donald in the White House in 2016.

Now, creative technocrats at Twitter appear to have devised a tangential escape route (and Section 230 workaround) from their own obvious culpability in election meddling and political censorship. It’s called “Birdwatch,” a new feature designed to supposedly combat the supposed omnipresent threat of ‘misinformation’ on their platform – by allowing users to add so-called ‘fact-check’ notes to peoples’ tweets. It’s supposed to allow ‘regular users’ (how are going to determine who is a ‘regular user’ is another question) called ‘Birdwatchers’ who will be allowed add to fact-check notes and provide ‘informative context’ for tweets.

Wait a minute. Call me old fashioned, but don’t Tweets already have a forum for discussion, context and debate? Isn’t that what the comment section below each Tweet is for? I used to think so.

So why is San Francisco’s high latte council of the Ministry of Truth creating this new wing on Jack’s bird? American tech entrepreneur and author Vivek Ramaswamy describes part of Twitter’s political modus operandi in a recent interview (see video below):

“If you trace it back to what happened a couple weeks ago, what we saw was actually the liberal wing of government, the liberal wing of Congress, delegating to these social media companies the dirty work that they couldn’t directly do under the Constitution – that was the work of censorship. Not only President Trump, but hundreds [actually tens of thousands] of Conservatives had their accounts purged after what happened on January 6th. So that was step one. These companies took criticism, they took heat. So now of course we see step two, we’re they’re now delegating that dirty work to their own users. We aren’t going to debate each other, but are going to try to cancel one another. I think it’s incredibly divisive.”

Ramaswamy added, “These policies are changing every day on the fly. It’s ‘Birdwatch’ today, it will be ‘snail watch’ tomorrow. It’s ultimately are what side of the bed Jack Dorsey wakes up on a given day. They censor Trump, they censored Conservatives, they changed their terms of service – really on the fly. This really is corporate monarchy, and this so-called ‘Birdwatch’ program is really papering-over the fact that this is

Sounds like death by a thousand fact-checks. Simply out, this initiative is an attempt to crowdsource the petty censorship they’ve been doing in-house, which will almost certainly pave the way for some kind of ‘trustworthiness’ rating or social credit rating for users on their platform. It’s doesn’t take a genius to work out how this will ultimately morph into some sort deplatforming mechanism. Of course, they’re not telling you the whole plan, only the initial nudging exercise. If they unveiled their whole censorship plan, their share price might tank again like it did following their decision to deplatform President Trump. But the real problem with this latest ‘solution’ to free speech is that it opens the door to the worst aspects of organized and state-sponsored trolling, just like Wikipedia’s failed ‘community-driven’ approach to so-called fact-checking which has succumbed to vexatious editors and trolls who’ve been allowed to vandalize pages and libel political dissenters and journalists on an industrial scale. As a result, Wikipedia’s reputation has been permanently damaged, as their board continues to turn a convenient blind eye to suspected establishment henchmen online such as the notorious Philip Cross. Similar problems have been created by the UK military’s online trolling army known as 77th Brigade. As Laurie Clark aptly explained in her feature for Wired magazine:

“In 2015, the British Army announced the creation of the 77th Brigade, a psychological operations unit responsible for ‘non-lethal’ warfare that reportedly uses social media to “control the narrative”, as well as disseminating UK government-friendly podcasts and videos. At its creation, the unit announced 1,500 soldiers would take to Facebook and Twitter for this purpose.”

In other words, these same Silicon Valley firms who spent the last five years clamping down on supposed ‘Russian bot accounts’ but have routinely looked the other way when it comes to proliferation of organized trolling and swarming by certain government, namely the government, military and their contractors from the US and UK. It would be interesting to know whether any of these entities are being allowed access to social media platforms by way of some special Application Programming Interface (API), whereby firms like Twitter and Facebook would allow certain military, intelligence agencies, or other third party state contractors to run large farms of accounts and chat bots from a proprietary dashboard, the same kind used by NATO information warfare units? That’s one question we’d like to ask egalitarian champions Jack Dorsey and Mark Zuckerberg.

And then there’s the Section 230, the law which protects Big Tech firms from liability for publishing offensive material, a status protected by the claim that they are not publishers exercising editorial control, but rather platforms which simply host a space for users to post content. Dorsey’s new “Birdwatch” feature is clearly an attempt to move away from the Section 230 cross hairs and into the Wikipedia zone. Clearly, these firms have been caught heavily editorializing their users, even along partisan lines. This may eventually prompt a fundamental change to Section 230 down the line, one which may or may hurt Big Tech monopolies, but may also further throttle free speech online. It remains to seen how that one will play out.

Silicon Valley can’t help it – they’re stuck in downward Orwellian spiral. By openly showing their authoritarian hand, that should be a signal to the world that it’s time to change course, and get off their woke IPO gravy train to nowhere. With each step they make, Big Tech firms further expose their own institutional biases – which may contribute to their gradual free-fall in street credibility and reputation as this generation’s legitimate digital alternative to the traditional brick-and-mortar public square. Instead, what we are seeing is hyper-partisan, plutocratic digital plantation which has drifted so far from the free and open, decentralized internet envisioned by online pioneers like Jaron Lanier and Kim Dotcom.

The TRUE face of Twitter revealed

Today, I picked up this video of Uncle Chicom Joe sniffing young girls (just as John Key was some years ago)

So, I decided to post on Twitter (as the wonderful upholders of public morality they are(n't).

Within seconds, I got this, courtesy of their artificial intelligence.

Just to see for myself how "intelligent" their AI is I posted the following.

It is still there!

Now see the REAL face of Twitter and their "Child Sexual Exploitation Policy"

Twitter refused to take down widely shared pornographic images and videos of a teenage sex trafficking victim because an investigation “didn’t find a violation” of the company’s “policies,” a scathing lawsuit alleges.

The federal suit, filed Wednesday by the victim and his mother in the Northern District of California, alleges Twitter made money off the clips, which showed a 13-year-old engaged in sex acts and are a form of child sexual abuse material, or child porn, the suit states.

The teen — who is now 17 and lives in Florida — is identified only as John Doe and was between 13 and 14 years old when sex traffickers, posing as a 16-year-old female classmate, started chatting with him on Snapchat, the suit alleges.

Doe and the traffickers allegedly exchanged nude photos before the conversation turned to blackmail: If the teen didn’t share more sexually graphic photos and videos, the explicit material he’d already sent would be shared with his “parents, coach, pastor” and others, the suit states.

Doe, acting under duress, initially complied and sent videos of himself performing sex acts and was also told to include another child in his videos, which he did, the suit claims.

Eventually, Doe blocked the traffickers and they stopped harassing him, but at some point in 2019, the videos surfaced on Twitter under two accounts that were known to share child sexual abuse material, court papers allege.

Over the next month, the videos would be reported to Twitter at least three times — first on Dec. 25, 2019 — but the tech giant failed to do anything about it until a federal law enforcement officer got involved, the suit states.

Doe became aware of the tweets in January 2020 because they’d been viewed widely by his classmates, which subjected him to “teasing, harassment, vicious bullying” and led him to become “suicidal,” court records show.

While Doe’s parents contacted the school and made police reports, he filed a complaint with Twitter, saying there were two tweets depicting child pornography of himself and they needed to be removed because they were illegal, harmful and were in violation of the site’s policies.

A support agent followed up and asked for a copy of Doe’s ID so they could prove it was him and after the teen complied, there was no response for a week, the family claims.

Around the same time, Doe’s mother filed two complaints to Twitter reporting the same material and for a week, she also received no response, the suit states.

Finally on Jan. 28, Twitter replied to Doe and said they wouldn’t be taking down the material, which had already racked up over 167,000 views and 2,223 retweets, the suit states.

“Thanks for reaching out. We’ve reviewed the content, and didn’t find a violation of our policies, so no action will be taken at this time,” the response reads, according to the lawsuit.

“If you believe there’s a potential copyright infringement, please start a new report. If the content is hosted on a third-party website, you’ll need to contact that website’s support team to report it. Your safety is the most important thing, and if you believe you are in danger, we encourage you to contact your local authorities.”

In his response, published in the complaint, Doe appeared shocked.

“What do you mean you don’t see a problem? We both are minors right now and were minors at the time these videos were taken. We both were 13 years of age. We were baited, harassed, and threatened to take these videos that are now being posted without our permission. We did not authorize these videos AT ALL and they need to be taken down,” the teen wrote back to Twitter.

He even included his case number from a local law enforcement agency, but still the tech giant allegedly ignored him and refused to do anything about the illegal child sexual abuse material — as it continued to rack up more and more views.

Two days later, Doe’s mom was connected with an agent from the Department of Homeland Security through a mutual contact who successfully had the videos removed on Jan. 30, the suit states.

“Only after this take-down demand from a federal agent did Twitter suspend the user accounts that were distributing the CSAM and report the CSAM to the National Center on Missing and Exploited Children,” states the suit, filed by the National Center on Sexual Exploitation and two law firms.

“This is directly in contrast to what their automated reply message and User Agreement state they will do to protect children.”

The disturbing lawsuit goes on to allege Twitter knowingly hosts creeps who use the platform to exchange child porn material and profits from it by including ads interspersed between tweets advertising or requesting the material.

Early Thursday, Twitter declined comment to The Post but later in the day, reversed course and sent a statement by email.

“Twitter has zero-tolerance for any material that features or promotes child sexual exploitation. We aggressively fight online child sexual abuse and have heavily invested in technology and tools to enforce our policy, a Twitter spokesperson wrote.

“Our dedicated teams work to stay ahead of bad-faith actors and to ensure we’re doing everything we can to remove content, facilitate investigations, and protect minors from harm — both on and offline.”

Project Veritas strikes again!

Twitter Insider Secretly Records CEO Jack Dorsey Detailing Agenda For Further Political Censorship

Jack Dorsey, Twitter CEO: “We are focused on one account [@realDonaldTrump] right now, but this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and go on beyond the inauguration.”

Dorsey: “So, the focus is certainly on this account [@realDonaldTrump] and how it ties to real world violence. But also, we need to think much longer term around how these dynamics play out over time. I don't believe this is going away anytime soon.”

Dorsey: “You know, the U.S. is extremely divided. Our platform is showing that every single day.”

[SAN FRANCISCO – Jan. 14, 2021] Project Veritas released a new video today provided by an insider at Twitter who recorded Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey calling for more action against President Trump and his supporters on the platform.

Dorsey said that censoring Trump was just the beginning.

“We are focused on one account [@realDonaldTrump] right now, but this is going to be much bigger than just one account, and it’s going to go on for much longer than just this day, this week, and the next few weeks, and go on beyond the inauguration,” he said.

“So, the focus is certainly on this account [@realDonaldTrump] and how it ties to real world violence. But also, we need to think much longer term around how these dynamics play out over time. I don't believe this is going away anytime soon.”

Dorsey said that political tensions are high in the United States.

“You know, the U.S. is extremely divided. Our platform is showing that every single day,” he said.

The Twitter insider contacted Project Veritas using the VeritasTips@protonmail.com email address. Project Veritas invites more insiders within Twitter and other tech companies to come forward with further evidence of corruption and malfeasance.

After Twitter censorship GAB is thriving

Free speech’ platform Gab surges in popularity in wake of Silicon Valley’s Trump purge

RT,
10 January, 2021

With conservatives being purged from Twitter and free-speech alternative Parler taken off Amazon, fringe platform Gab has exploded in popularity. It comes amid rumors of President Donald Trump’s possible involvement.

Wednesday’s pro-Trump riot on Capitol Hill brought about an unprecedented crackdown on free speech by America’s tech giants. President Trump was permanently booted off Twitter, and indefinitely suspended from every other major platform, while thousands of conservatives had their accounts deleted. Free speech-focused alternative Parler was then removed from Apple and Google’s online marketplaces, before being denied web hosting altogether by Amazon, whose cloud-hosting servers Parler used. Every company involved claimed that Trump’s continued presence on their platforms increased the risk of violence, given five people died during the Capitol Hill riot.

The crackdown gave an unlikely boost to Gab, another Twitter-like platform whose selling point is its professed commitment to free speech. Gab has been around since 2016, but its existence has been mired in controversy due the proliferation of racist content on its platform and CEO Andrew Torba’s refusal to “police what is hate speech and what isn’t.”

Nevertheless, users exiled from mainstream social media platforms have signed up to Gab in droves over the last three days. In a post to Twitter on Saturday, Torba claimed that more than 10,000 new users were signing up every hour.

Unlike Parler, Gab runs on its own servers, meaning a provider like Amazon can’t decide to pull the plug. After being blacklisted by payment processors and email providers, Gab built its own in-house payment and mail infrastructure, as well as its own messaging service, web browser, and video app.

However, the sudden influx of new traffic has slowed Gab to a crawl. Torba wrote on Wednesday that new servers will be added, and that he has already invited Trump to take up residence on Gab.

Torba has reserved an account for Trump. At present, the account only serves as an archive of the president’s Twitter account before its deletion, but has nearly a million followers. Trump has so far given no indication that he will move to Gab, but the rumor mill has already spun into life.

Torba only follows three accounts on Twitter: Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump, and Dan Scavino – President Trump’s deputy chief of staff. On Saturday, Torba posted on Gab requesting prayers from his followers, claiming that he had an important call scheduled, though he did not elaborate further. Many users took his post as a sign he had gotten in touch with Trump’s team.

Yet rumors of a move – or even a buyout – by Trump remain the stuff of speculation. So too does Torba’s commitment to truly free speech. A devout Christian, Torba banned pornography from his platform in 2019, calling for a “cultural revolution against porn.” Though most pornography is protected by the First Amendment, Torba’s religious aversion to smut apparently trumps the foundational document of free speech in the US.

While Gab has in recent days been flooded with incitements to violence, the company maintains that its “terms of service absolutely ban all illegal content, including threats, as influenced by American speech laws as well as American legislation and court rulings on the subject.” Illegal content on Gab is not weeded out by algorithms, but by volunteer moderators, a situation that allows for more nuanced policing of content, but is open for ideological bias.

Torba insists that Gab welcomes users “from every race, religion, ideology, and creed.” However, its user base is overwhelmingly conservative. Whether he can expand on this user base and make good on his promise to provide an “unbiased, open source, and neutral platform” will likely depend on how heavily big tech clamps down on dissident speech from all sides – not just the right.

Amazon is preparing to pull the plug on Parler, suspending it from web hosting services, after Apple and Google banned the app from their respective app stores in what the company’s CEO John Matze called a “coordinated attack.”

While the conservative-friendly social media company hopes to move to a new hosting provider soon, it acknowledged that its options are “limited” due to a “coordinated effort” designed and timed to “inflict the most damage,” according to Matze.

This was a coordinated attack by the tech giants to kill competition in the market place. We were too successful too fast. You can expect the war on competition and free speech to continue, but don’t count us out.

Wouldn't it be an amazing outcome if Twitter went bust?

Gab is ready for Trump. Fox News celebrities ditch Twitter
