Greetings
from John Key
I
have had a wonderful time in Hawaii. Many of our cabinet have had an
equally fantastic holiday period, taking off for fabulous holidays
overseas, ultimately all paid for by you. But with the new political
year looming, I thought I would take time for a little reflection
about how things might be impacting on you.
For
you, last year was probably hard. For middle class New Zealanders and
for those poorer folk amongst you, you have suffered the erosion of
your wages through the hike in GST and related higher prices. Ever
increasing petrol prices at the pumps and higher transport costs
generally have probably impacted on you severely. Food costs must
seem positively galactic to you all and let's not talk about power
prices. Many of you will have suffered the loss of jobs. Parents will
have worries over school closures. Many Christchurch people might be
wondering if your homes will ever be fixed or rebuilt and if you live
on the west coast, you might wonder if your boys will ever come out
of that hole at Pike River. Some will have concerns over asset sales,
TPP and further strangling of social services and benefits. The
elderly will have worries that there has been no inflation
adjustments of their pensions lately of any consequences and that
some health services for you have been severely slashed. Our youth
will have their own worries, that when they leave school there may
not be a place at university for them because we prefer high paying
foreign students, and that there my be no jobs for you anyway, no
matter what you decide to do.
I
just want you all to know, I am thinking about all these things and
what it comes down to is this, the bottom line is, we're all right
Jack so we don't give a fuck
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Happy
new year everyone,
