Privatisation of water in the EU

I have received the following from a friend in Germany -

Liebe Freundinnen und Freunde,

die EU-Kommission will den Markt für die Privatisierung der Wasserrechte

freigeben. Monitor hat darüber am 13.12. eine Sendung ausgestrahlt (Link

unten): Geheimoperation Wasser: Wie die EU-Kommission Wasser zur

Handelsware machen will.

Wenn ihr wie ich gegen diese Privatisierung seid, dann unterschreibt

bitte auf dem 2. Link unten.

Bis Mitte Januar müssen 1 Mio Unterschriften eingesammelt sein, um das

Vorhaben zu stoppen.

Es geht darum, dass die EU-Zuständigen den Markt öffnen für eine

Privatisierung der Wasserrechte. Portugal wurde bereits dazu gezwungen und

muss jetzt den 4-fachen Wasserpreis bezahlen. Griechenland wird es nicht

anders gehen. Privatisierung bedeutet, der Wasserpreis kann zukünftig vom

Börsenkurs abhängen, Wasser könnte ein Exportschlager werden, die Qualität

wird nicht mehr nach gängigen Richtlinien bestimmt, Grosskonzerne

kontrollieren, wenn˜s drauf ankommt. Bis Mitte Januar werden 1.000.000

Stimmen benötigt, damit die EU sich hierzu erklären muss.
