Montreal
student revolt carries on
In
the past couple of weeks, dozens of student demonstrators have been
arrested for protesting college tuition hikes in Montreal, Canada.
Students have been on strike for 77 days over the increased tuition
that will cost them up to $325 annually for the next five years.
Quebec Premier Jean Charest attempted to compromise with the students
by giving them more time to pay off the $1,625, but students feel the
offer is an insult. Bernard Desgagne, a citizen journalist, joins us
for the latest.
