Story
on John Key disappeared and replaced with new article
Somehow this
"The
Key brand is over.
"The
business community has spoken and say it's time for the National
party to groom a replacement"
became this -
"John
Key remains popular in the nation's boardrooms – with nearly 80% of
those surveyed by the Herald believing the Prime Minister i still in
touch with ordinary New Zealanders.
"spin" isn't only a setting on your washing machine !
ReplyDeletea prime example of filthy politics
ReplyDeleteYes, maybe there is a conspiracy with a spin-master under every bush...
ReplyDeleteThe more likely scenario is that someone looked at the approval rating of 4.2 (or whatever it was) and wrote up a story and headline based on JK getting an approval rating of 4.2 out of ten.
However the rating was really 4.2 out of 5. Oops. That changes things. Hence a need to rewrite the story.
So who's up for replacing this irresponsible clown who claims to be leader of the National party, claims he "governs" New Zealand, claims he's working for New Zealanders, spends millions upon millions of taxpayers money on foreign bailouts, yet can't create a surplus or rebuild a city?
ReplyDeleteBet any average Kiwi could replace Key and run this country far more eficiently.
The Herald story was accurate but the Newstalk followup story was incorrect and had to be changed including my own title which is not Business Editor. Interestingly, the CEOs last year felt Key brand was damaged but despite Ponytail saga and Northland debacle he is held in high regard. He is seen as in touch with ordinary NZdrs but they feel it is time for National to start grooming a successor (not replacement).
ReplyDeleteFran O'Sullivan
National will have to get a outsider as a replacement, theirs no one in the current crop to take over after he resigns with a knighthood. Keys political history is a patent fiction, I doubt he was even registered to vote when he worked overseas.
ReplyDeleteI fail to see where he is in touch with ordinary NZers, when he fails to answer most questions, selfies dont count. Then theirs the backing of Sabin, and now the debacle over this Saudi businessman with the wrong Royal connections to help get a FTA.
I doubt Key will visit safe behind the Wire Camp Taji before Xmas,
hopefully its not another case of more kiwi lambs dying in a Middle East desert.
