is Kevin Blanch.
According
to information he has received informally there has been an
electricity blackout in southern Japan since the typhoon.
Whatever the truth, it is evident that there has been a news blackout on this. Anyone heard any news of Sendai since the typhoon hit southern Japan.

“Sendai
1 Could Reach 95 Percent Power by Aug. 27
Aug.
27, 2015—Japan's Kyushu Electric Power Co. expects to ramp up its
890-megawatt Sendai 1 from its current 75 percent power level to 95
percent capacity Aug. 27 after repairing condenser tubes that may
have become contaminated with seawater.
Kyushu
said it will raise the plant’s power level after having plugged 69
of some 13,000 tubes in one of the plant’s three condensers. The
company is not certain when the reactor will begin operating at full
capacity.
Sendai
1, Japan’s first nuclear reactor to come on line since the nation’s
entire nuclear fleet was idled to respond to new post-Fukushima
safety standards, was connected to the electricity grid Aug. 14.”
