The
melting ice at Greenland
The
older ice is melting and pulling away from Canada and Greenland. The
land that the ice has been up against has been anchoring much of the
Arctic ice in place.
Here
is a view from buoy 9 that is on the North East corner of Greenland

This
experimental product of sea ice thickness is calculated from AMSR-E
and AMSR2 data by using a research algorithm developed by K. Tateyama
(Kitami Institute of Technology).
