Op-Ed:
Muslim Brotherhood begins its takeover of Jordan
19
October, 2012
Mideast
revolutions continue as Jordan’s government begins to collapse, the
Muslim Brotherhood is taking aim at Jordan, and Jordan’s King
Abdullah is starting to lose tribal support. Jordan's collapse may
occur quickly.
From
the Tablet
Magazine: Recently, U.S. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta announced
that the U.S. will send troops to Jordan in preparation for when the
conflict in Syria spreads across the country’s border as it has
with Turkey. The Obama Administration is extremely concerned about
events in Syria affecting its longstanding and reliable Mideast ally
in Amman. When King Abdullah II becomes the next Arab ruler to fall
during the upheavals that have swept through the Mideast region, it
will mark another major setback for the US in the region. For Israel
this will be significantly worse because Jerusalem will lose its
remaining strategic partner in the region, having already lost Turkey
and Egypt, and face a possible nightmare on its longest border,
exposing Israel’s center to attacks from the east that might
include Sunni Jihadists or Iranian-trained Iraqi agents.
According
to a few Mideast analysts, there appears to be much political
pressure building up against Jordan’s King Abdullah. Jordan could
become the key piece in the Islamic caliphate puzzle. When Jordan
collapses, this disaster will put enormous pressure on Israel because
it will transform the entire Mideast geography in terms of Israel’s
friends and enemies. Because the Muslim Brotherhood is really focused
on Jordan, its collapse will not take very long.
From
WND:
Following successful campaigns in Egypt, Libya, and other Mideast and
North African nations, the Muslim Brotherhood plans to destabilize
and overthrow Jordan’s government. “The Saudi-owned news channel
Al-Arabiya, citing leaked files, reported the embattled regime of
Syrian President Bashar al-Assad and his allies have sought to
destabilize neighboring Jordan by manipulating peaceful
demonstrations there and turning them into deadly violence.”
Mideast analysts believe that Jordan’s government will collapse
quickly without much violence because King Abdullah would rather
surrender power than allow bloodshed to proliferate throughout his
nation.
From
Gate
Stone Institute: The Jordanian tribe plans a huge rally against
Israel, with whom it has a peace treaty. Other tribes have been
invited to join the rally, posing a major and unprecedented challenge
to the monarchy. A few Mideast analysts assess this report confirms
that King Abdullah’s position is weakening rapidly. The mainstream
media ignores Jordan and what the Brotherhood is doing there because
this will expose Obama’s weak foreign policy responses to the
Mideast revolutions. When both Syria and Jordan are in the
Brotherhood’s power, they will quickly conduct jihad against Israel
and America. Syria and Jordan may not survive the coming Mideast war.
They could disappear from history when the Mideast erupts into major
warfare.
