The rift in the pro-Trump movement

There is a real rift opening up between Trump's supporters - the anti-war people and the war hawks.

Hannity meltdown exposes thirst for war with Iran. Tucker is voice of reason

the Duran

The Duran’s Alex Christoforou and Editor-in-Chief Alexander Mercouris discuss the on air meltdown of Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday night, where his viewers witnessed the host screaming about how Trump would “bomb the hell of out Iran” for downing an American drone.

Hannity lashed out at Fox News contributor, and long time friend Geraldo Rivera, who advocated for a restrained approach towards Iran. Rivera continuously stated that Iran claims they “have absolute, undeniable proof” that the drone they shot down was over their territorial waters. “

A strong message needs to be sent that a huge price will be paid if you take on the United State of America,” Hannity shouted. “Simple peace through strength, and it works.” Hannity continued, “they shot an American drone out of the air, they are not getting away with it.”

The Jim Acosta affair

Paul Joseph Watson reponds to accusations that HE was responsible for doctoring a video that was used to justify removing CNN hack Jim Acostas’ press pass removed.

Completely justified in my mind. I am sufficiently old-fashioned to still think there is something called "dignity of office" - even IF the person doesn't deserve it.

THe UK gov't response to yesterday's Manchester terrorist attack

From the presstitutes at the BBC

Manchester attack: UK terror threat level raised to critical

BBC,
23 May, 2017

The UK terror threat level has been raised to its highest level of "critical", meaning further attacks may be imminent, Theresa May has said.

The move came after investigators were unable to rule out whether Manchester bombing suspect Salman Abedi acted alone, the prime minister said.

Military personnel will now be deployed to protect key sites.

Twenty-two people were killed and 59 injured when a suicide bomber attacked Manchester Arena on Monday evening.

The prime minister also confirmed the government had triggered "Operation Temperer", a long-standing emergency plan to put soldiers into key public locations to support armed police in protecting the public.

Military personnel may also be seen at other events over the coming weeks, such as concerts, Mrs May said, and would work under the command of police officers.

The prime minister said she did not want the public to feel "unduly alarmed" but said it was a "proportionate and sensible response"

She said the government would take "every measure available to us" to help the police protect the public.

"The spirit of Manchester and the spirit of Britain is far mightier than the sick plots of depraved terrorists.

"That is why the terrorists will never win and we will prevail," she said.

The highest level, which is decided by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre - a group of experts from the police, government departments and agencies - has only been reached twice before.

Met Police Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, who is the national counter-terrorism policing lead, said the investigation was "fast-moving and making good progress".

"However, a critical line of inquiry is whether the dead terrorist was acting alone or part of a group," he said.

"We still have critical lines of inquiry they're chasing down which has led to a level of uncertainty."

The first time the threat level was raised to critical was in 2006 during a major operation to stop a plot to blow up transatlantic airliners with liquid bombs.

The following year, security chiefs raised it once more as they hunted for the men who had tried to bomb a London nightclub, before going on to attack Glasgow Airport.

Here is what you are NOT being told about the attack.

Watson cites a case of a concertgoer witnessing a woman looking nervously at the place of the explosion but being told "How would you like to be accused?" and not following up.

Tell me how 5,000 troops can prevent a terrorist attack. They CAN, however, intimidate the population

Revealed: Secret plan to put 5,000 heavily-armed troops on streets of Britain to fight jihadis in event of a terror attack

  • Operation Temperer would see troops guard key targets with armed police
  • Plans drawn up by police chiefs and discussed by top Government officials
  • Would be triggered by Cobra committee in event of simultaneous attacks
  • Paris attacks convinced authorities military would be needed if UK hit

23 May, 2017

A top secret plan for the mass deployment of armed troops on the streets of Britain in the wake of a major terrorist attack can be revealed for the first time today.

More than 5,000 heavily armed soldiers would be sent to inner cities if Islamic State or other fanatics launched multiple attacks on British soil – an unprecedented military response to terrorism.
The plan, codenamed Operation Temperer, would see troops guard key targets alongside armed police officers, providing ‘protective security’ against further attacks while counter-terror experts and MI5 officers hunted down the plotters.
The shocking plans for ‘large-scale military support’ to the police are contained in documents uncovered by The Mail on Sunday. They have been drawn up by police chiefs and are being discussed at the highest levels of Government, but have never been revealed in public or mentioned in Parliament.
The mass deployment of Army personnel on the streets of mainland Britain would be hugely controversial, even if it helped keep the population safe, because it could give the impression that the Government had lost control or that martial law was being imposed.
Baroness Jones, who sits on London’s Police and Crime Committee, said she was ‘shocked’ at the plans, saying: ‘This would be unprecedented on mainland Britain.’ And she expressed concern that the troops would not be sufficiently trained to protect civil liberties.

Some police leaders fear that the soldiers would be needed if there was a wave of attacks by extremists inspired by Islamic State or Al-Qaeda, as police forces no longer have enough manpower to cope.
It can also be disclosed today that, after this year’s Paris massacres, senior police officers discussed raising the terror threat level in Britain from ‘severe’ to the highest level of ‘critical’, meaning a terror attack is ‘imminent’ rather than ‘highly likely’.
The military contingency plan is revealed in the minutes of a National Police Chiefs Council (NPCC) meeting held on April 22 at a hotel in Leicester. Documents accidentally uploaded to the NPCC website give details of what was discussed in a closed session.

Under the heading ‘COUNTER TERRORISM POST PARIS LARGE SCALE MILITARY SUPPORT TO THE POLICE’, the minutes reveal that deputy chief constable Simon Chesterman, the ‘national lead’ for armed policing, briefed the other chief officers.

The paper says up to 5,100 military personnel could be deployed ‘based upon force assessments of how many military officers could augment armed police officers engaged in protective security duties’.
Discussions were ongoing with Government’, the minutes added, saying: ‘Chiefs recognised that the Army played an important part in national resilience and supported the work going forward.’

After being spotted by this newspaper, this section was removed from the NPCC website on Friday.
Sources confirmed the detailed plan had been discussed at the highest level and would only be triggered by the Cobra committee chaired by the Prime Minister if there were two or three terror attacks at the same time in Britain, leaving police struggling to respond.
Will Riches, vice-chairman of the Police Federation of England and Wales, said: ‘The bottom line is you can’t reduce 17,000 police officers and expect nothing to change. While police are well-versed at contingency planning, the levels of cuts to officers means that we cannot police events in the same way.’

Military activity on the streets has previously proved controversial. There was outcry in 2003 when tanks were stationed at Heathrow following warnings of a plot to shoot down a passenger jet.
And residents were terrified when surface-to-air missiles were set up on rooftops and in parks for the 2012 London Olympics. But it is thought that the series of attacks across Paris by Islamists in January convinced the authorities that military support would be needed if similar atrocities took place right across Britain.
Raffaello Pantucci, a security expert at the Royal United Services Institute think-tank, said: ‘It makes sense. The Paris attacks were seen with great concern because there were so many sites. The concern was would the UK be able to respond in the same way? There was understandable concern about whether they would get very stretched.’

A separate note on an meeting of the NPCC on January 16, the week after 17 people were killed in Paris, reveals for the first time: ‘Chiefs were asked to consider raising the threat level to critical’ – but in the end the level was kept at ‘severe’.
It is understood that Home Secretary Theresa May would not oppose soldiers taking to the streets in a ‘worst-case scenario’.
But Shadow Home Secretary Yvette Cooper warned: ‘Our national security must not be put at risk. Theresa May has a responsibility to make sure we have enough police for vital counter-terror work.’
Just last month, days after the Tunisia beach massacre, security forces and emergency services held a major training exercise called Exercise Strong Tower which David Cameron said would ‘test and refine the UK’s preparedness for dealing with a serious terrorist attack’.
Former Cobra member Col Richard Kemp said plans have been stepped up as more Britons go to fight with IS in Iraq and Syria. He said: ‘They are returning with a level of capability previously unseen. They are blooded, trained, motivated and given direction to return home and attack us here.’
The Home Office declined to comment. The MoD says it ‘works closely with other government departments and agencies to ensure that it is able to provide appropriate assistance in response to any security threats.’

"NATO and the United States should change their policy because the time when they dictate their conditions to the world has passed," Ahmadinejad said in a speech in Dushanbe, capital of the Central Asian republic of Tajikistan

Trump hands Saudi Arabia $380 billion, days later ISIS celebrates Manchester Ariana Grande attack
Islamic State supporters celebrated on social media after a blast at a concert venue in the north of England killed at least 19 people

23 May, 2017

Days after US President Donald Trump signed $380 billion in business deals and a whopping $110 billion in arms sales to ISIS sponsor Saudi Arabia, a terrorist attack that has all the hallmarks of an ISIS/ISIS inspired attack at an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester UK unfolds.

The Islamic State has not officially claimed responsibility for the attack, but all signs point to ISIS.

Irregardless of whether ISIS officially claims responsibility, or not, the jihadist group that has been nurtured and raised by the Obama White House, Saudi Arabia, and Erdogan’s Turkey, as a frankenstein army entrusted with overthrowing Assad in Syria, celebrated the attack…

1) No claim regarding blast in , but accounts celebrating the attack, disseminating media & threats

We can not forget that the UK has also sold Saudi Arabia billions of pounds worth of arms, which have gone towards bombing Yemen and we are certain, funneled to ISIS jihadists in order to keep the fight going in Syria.

Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia to ink billion dollar deals, followed by this terrorist attack, shows that the monster of Wahhabism unleashed unto the world via Saudi Arabia (and their petrodollar leverage), will continue to cost the lives of the most innocent of people.
British police have said they are treating the blast at the Manchester Arena at the end of a concert by U.S. singer Ariana Grande as a “terrorist incident”. More than 50 people were wounded.
Twitter accounts affiliated to Islamic State have used hashtags referring to the blast to post celebratory messages, with some users encouraging similar attacks elsewhere.
Some messages described the attack as an act of revenge in response to air strikes in Iraq and Syria.
It seems that bombs of the British airforce over children of Mosul and Raqqa has just came back to #Manchester,” one user named Abdul Haqq said on Twitter, in reference to the Iraqi and Syrian cities held by the militants where a U.S.-led coalition, of which Britain is a member, is conducting air strikes.
Supporters posted messages encouraging each other to carry out “lone wolf” attacks in the West and shared Islamic State videos threatening the United States and Europe.
One user said he hoped Islamic State was responsible for the attack, although no claim has appeared on any of the militant’s group’s official social media channels.
We hope that the perpetrator is one of the soldiers of the caliphate,” he wrote on a channel affiliated to the group hosted by messaging network Telegram.
Others posted banners saying the beginning is in Brussels and Paris, and in London we form a state,” in reference to previous similar “lone wolf” attacks in Belgium and France for which the group has claimed responsibility.
British Prime Minister Theresa May said the blast was being treated as a terrorist attack.

Tony Abbot's departure

I couldn’t have said it any better myself. Sea Shepherd’s Capt. Paul Watson celebrates the departure of Australian PM Tony Abbott.

We can have one day to celebrate. Tony's sucessor is a bankser from Goldman Sachs. Nothing much to look forward to for Australia

Time to Celebrate
Via Facebook

He is gone folks.

The number one most ignorant anti-environmentalist leader in the world has been deposed. The man who worships coal as the salvation of humankind, the man who Japan was depending on to not interfere with their illegal whaling, the man who wants to use the Great Barrier Reef to dump mining sludge. The most ignorant, dumbest, most useless, most absolutely moronic Prime Minister that Australia has ever had to endure is no more.

Dumped by his own party. How awesome is that?

And to make it sweeter he was deposed two weeks before being Prime Minister for two years meaning Australia saves a million dollars a year because Tony won’t get the Prime Ministerial pension.

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy. I am deliriously happy for all my friends in Australia.
The climate-change denying imbecile is gone. Hey Tony, what can we say, “shit happens.”

Tony who said, that Jesus said “everyone has their place and it’s not necessarily everyone’s place to come to Australia.” This from a man born in England who claims that before the British arrived there was nothing and nobody in Australia.

The man who was trying to kick Aboriginals off their own land and accusing them of forcing Australians to pay for their cultural choice to live on the land that Tony wanted to give to his mining company friends.

Tony Abbott whose self-admitted greatest accomplishment has been to stop the boats by tossing children into detention camps to be raped and beaten.

I have to admit I will miss his incredible amusing statements of unadulterated ignorance because according to Tony, “ no one, no matter how educated is the suppository of all knowledge.”

Yes we will miss the idiotisms but very few are going to miss him, and hopefully Australia can recover from the incredible damage he has done.

Last week he was going to bomb Syria. Today his own Party detonated a political bomb under his chair and blew him all the way to the back bench where hopefully he will talk to himself and keep out of trouble until the next election.

If he had any pride he would resign but most likely he will be plotting a comeback.
It will absolutely never happen.

Tony is finally G-O-N-E!!!

Australia will never allow this pathetic little Marmite eating man to hold any power again.

Today Australia is a better place. The world is a better place and the future looks a tiny bit brighter.

Now we just need to get rid of that horrifically damaging Stephen Harper. Next month if Canada dumps Harper after today’s political assassination of Abbott, I don’t think I will need to wait for Christmas for a present. I will have had everything that I could have ever politically wanted for this year.

You can help me celebrate by making a donation in recognition of this happy day to the Sea Shepherd Small Boat Replacement Appel.

If by midnight, we reach the goal of €100,000 that I set for the week, I will add another €500 donation to the €500 I started this appeal off with last Tuesday. My way of saying Hasta La Vista Antonio.

Only €13,000 to go for this week and we’ll work on the 2nd half of the appeal starting tomorrow.

Click on the Appeal below and help us replace our boats.

Sage advice fromCapt. Paul Watson

Dealing with the Killer Called Stress

Observations and Advice by Captain Paul Watson

Via Facebook

I have had numerous requests to repost the commentary I wrote on Dealing with Stress. I also have been motivated to post this because of a recent suicide by a former crew member. Here it is again.

We shall not cease from exploration
And the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time.
- T.S. ElliotThe Four Quartets

I am often asked how I deal with stress considering I’m wanted by Japan and Costa Rica, I have a price on my head from the shark fin mafia of Costa Rica, we have numerous ships on the sea in dangerous campaigns, I am being sued, threatened and harassed continuously and I have a lot of enemies, critics and people who wish me harm.

The answer to this is simple. I don’t deal with stress, because I do not suffer from stress. And these are ten primary reasons why, and for anyone suffering from anxiety, worry or stress, I would like to offer this advice.

1. It is what it is. Whatever the issue, whatever the threat, whatever the circumstances it simply is what it is. Stressing will not change the situation. All problems can be dealt with or ignored.

2. “It’s always something.” I say this all the time to my crews whenever a problem arises. “It’s always something and if it’s not something, it’s something else, but it is always something.” This means that life comes with obstacles, challenges and problems. Problems should not be unexpected. They are inevitable. All problems can be dealt with by dealing with them, delegating someone else to deal with them, or ignoring them. One thing for sure, on a ship, it is definitely always something.

3. Stay calm. There really is nothing worth getting upset about. For example, if I drop a bottle of wine or tomato sauce and it shatters, my reaction is, “hmmm okay, that needs cleaning up.” If I lose my phone, wallet or keys, my reaction is “I better replace what I lost and take measures to cancel my cards etc. More seriously when my regulator jammed once at 30 meters, I calmly signaled my partner to indicate my situation. Fretting about it will not recover the object. Panicking will not save your life. Anger emanates from stress. Without stress there can be no anger. Without stress there is no panic.

4. Nothing material is permanent and thus objects are not worth stressing about. Your car is damaged, something you own is stolen, or you lost your investments etc. It is really not important. Material objects and comforts are nice but they should not be anchors keeping you attached to stress. Move on.

5. Friends are friends or they are not. A true friend will never betray you and if a “friend” does betray you than he/she is simply not a friend. Always walk away from betrayal and do not stress about it. True and loyal friends are rare treasures and should be treated as such. Loyalty returns loyalty. Compassion returns compassion. Courage returns courage. However you control only your own loyalty, compassion and courage, not that of others. And if they prove disloyal or they betray you, the treasure is no longer a treasure but merely a bauble to be tossed aside. Never stress about betrayal or loss. It is what it is. And if you’ve been betrayed once by someone, do not allow yourself to be betrayed again by that same person.

6. Loneliness is an opportunity. It is an opportunity to discover yourself. You can’t find someone to love you if you don’t love yourself, and the secret to finding the right person is to not look for that person. Love should blossom from the ground like a lovely wild flower. It cannot be cultivated until after it is realized. Do not seek the seed but let the flower reveal an opportunity to you to grow and learn.

7. Relationships are like streams, constantly flowing and as they flow they meet obstacles. Some are minor and others major but a relationship either flows around the obstacle or it is blocked, and if permanently blocked, it ends. This is not cause for stress or angry, resentment or jealously. It is what it is. Move on with appreciation and without bitterness for the relationship that is no more, and open your heart to other possibilities that life presents. The most important factor in maintaining a meaningful relationship with lovers, family or friends is simply acceptance. You need to accept them for who they are and they need to accept you for who you are. If you cannot accept another person for who they are, you need to stop inflicting stress on that person and to walk away. And if another person does not accept you for who you are, you need to walk away no matter the nature of the relationship. Stress kills and living with a person who does not accept you for who you are is like living with a person who is slowly killing you.

8. Fear is a poison that seeps into the soul and paralyzes our senses generating paranoia, insecurity and anger. Never let fear enter your life. There is really nothing to fear because things are what they are and will be what they will be. Remember you are the captain of your fate and the master of your soul and body. Who you are and what you wish to be depends on you and you alone. A person free of fear can accomplish far more than a person shackled to fear.

9. Oscar Wilde once said that the only thing worst than being talked about was not being talked about. People talk, they gossip, they make false accusations, some enjoy insulting and belittling others. They are easily dealt with by ignoring them. Responding to them is what they want, so don’t respond. Reacting to them is what they want, so don’t react. Such people are not worthy of causing stress to you. They come from a place of insecurity, jealously and fear. It is their stress, and their stress is their problem. It should not be your.

10. Hoka Hey. It’s a good day to die. It’s a Lakota saying and it means to not fear death and to stand firm for what you believe in, to fight against all odds and to never surrender. The one absolute of life is death. We all will die. What matters is not dying but living. It is how you live that is important and the only thing important about dying is how you die. It should be a death without fear, with dignity and with acceptance that it is what it is. The person without fear dies but once, the person shackled by fear dies slowly from stress and anxiety. Accept the inevitable, embrace the final reality of life and smile in the face of the infinite. The real secret to happiness is to not fear your own death, to not fear failure or ridicule, and not to fear others.

Stress is an obstacle to mindfulness and an impediment to impeccability. Stress is the cause of migraines, cancer and many other ailments. It is the reason people smoke, take drugs, and drink excessively. When people ask me why I’ve never smoked anything, the reason being is that I have never felt inclined to do so. It never seemed healthy to me and I have always been mindful of the consequences. I think that stress blocks mindfulness of consequences. The same holds true to getting drunk or stoned. Without stress there is no need, nor a desire to do either.

Mindfulness is simply awareness of who you are and what you are doing. A person who is mindful is a person free of stress.

Unfulfilled desire leads to stress. Wanting nothing allows you to appreciate what you have. When you want nothing, you want for nothing. We all have basic needs for food, for warmth and shelter, for clothing and for companionship. Mindfulness allows you to be secure with your basic needs. Everything else is a luxury and although luxuries may be appreciated, you should not depend upon them. Depending upon luxuries leads to stress.

I have never worked a day in my life for the sole purpose of making money. I have never wanted to own anything and although I now do own property and material things, I do not allow those things to own me. I never engage in arguments about money or debts. I tend to avoid debts but when debts occur my position is that they are what they are and certainly not anything to be troubled with.

As far as basic needs, I learned to address this as a teenager when I left home at 15. I had no money, no place to stay, no prospects. I jumped a freight train, rode in the automobiles being transported from Toronto all the way to Vancouver. I arrived and camped in the abandoned gun towers on Wreck Beach and the first thing I did was to go to Vancouver City College to enroll. I found a job, moved out of the gun tower into a single room I rented and went from there. Looking back I see it as an adventure. I had nothing, but there was no stress. I simply reframed the insecurity of my position into an adventurous experience. I treated every job as a learning experience and working as a longshoreman, teamster, tree planter, warehouse man, short order cook, baker, painter, carpet layer, postman, tour guide, landscaper, and seaman all were educational experiences.

The truth is that all of life is an adventure, the good and the bad, the ups and the downs, the experiences, the hardships, the thrills and the times that were lonely, happy or difficult. Even the loss of friends and family is simply dealt with by acknowledging that death is as it is. It is inevitable and although we may sincerely mourn we can do so without being stressed. This may be difficult to understand but it is indeed quite possible. With the passing of every friend, with the passing of my brother I have silently said “Good-bye” with the appreciation of having known them.

I have gone into situations many times where the risks of injury, death or imprisonment were practically a certainty. My approach has always been acceptance. And amazingly I am still alive and still free. When I have had nothing.I have had everything I need, and when I have risked all, I have usually been successful. One of the things that concerns me is when I read about, or hear of people, especially young people committing suicide because of bullying. I wish that I could talk to such people before they make such a terminal decision. I would tell them to not let the insecurities and fears of others influence them in any way. I would tell them to accept that all the ridicule, insults, bullying and peer pressure is irrelevant and simply unimportant to who they are. If a parent is unaccepting of who you are, you need to say to them that if you are unacceptable to them they have no right to be your parent and you should walk away from them. Too many people are enslaved to parents, partners and friends who do not accept them

Unacceptance and bullying are forms of violence and everyone should walk away from violence with dignity. No one should tell you what to believe, how to think, how to dress, how to behave or to dictate your sexual orientation or condemn you for your compassion, your passion, your imagination and your character. You are who you are and that is what it is, and how it should be, and if others do not tolerate who you are, don’t give them the satisfaction of destroying you. Simply symbolically spit in their eye, walk away and concentrate on being who you are for the benefit of yourself.

And if anyone is inclined to commit suicide my advice is to commit social suicide instead. That is, to drop out of your life as it is and begin another life, in another place with new ideas. Adventure is the antidote for depression. Take a chance, jump into the unknown and you will be amazed at what is awaiting you after you do.

I am not infallible. I have made mistakes in my life, many of them. I have at times in the past responded with anger although rarely physical and limited to the poison of the pen. I have let some people down, disappointed others and missed opportunities. But the one thing that I have been able to do in my life is to avoid stress.

At 64, I am healthy, happy, optimistic, and as passionate as I ever have been. Even more so because I have had the grace of experience and the satisfaction of achievement in those areas that I chose to address.

The point of this posting is this: Do not let stress ruin your health, your love or your life. Dreadnaught and live the adventure, this adventure that is life. It may well be the only life you will ever have. Even if you believe in the afterlife (oh and don’t stress about that either) the fact is you will never know for sure, so no sense wasting the unique life that you have.

A stress free life is not only possible, it’s also essential for your health and your happiness.

Faroese Update: New Photographs Show Slain Young, Pregnant and Sickly-looking Whales

Via Facebook

Sea Shepherd has received new photographs and video footage of the slaughter of 61 pilot whales on the killing beach of Sandavágur on August 12.

The evidence indicates that there were a large number of pregnant and young whales in the pod. Photographs also show that a number of the whales had blotched skin, indicating they were diseased.

A vet, who was on the ground after the slaughter when the whales were being butchered, was told by a local that whales with blotched skin were “no good.”

Given original reports said a pod of 200 was spotted, Sea Shepherd believes the pod may have been split, and that the young, pregnant and sick whales, and those that were trying to protect them, were the 61 that were eventually slaughtered.

There are more threats to the Pilot Whales than just the slaughter. The species as a whole is threatened by pollution, especially mercury. To kill so many when we do not even know how many are being lost to toxicity is irresponsible.
