Warning: Half of All Children Will Be Autistic by 2025

By 2025 we will all have mutated!

MIT Researcher: Glyphosate Herbicide will Cause Half of All Children to Have Autism by 2025

Half of All Children Will Be Autistic by 2025, Warns Senior Research Scientist at MIT

28 February, 2015

Why? Evidence points to glyphosate toxicity from the overuse of Monsanto’s Roundup herbicide on our food.

For over three decades, Stephanie Seneff, PhD, has researched biology and technology, over the years publishing over 170 scholarly peer-reviewed articles. In recent years she has concentrated on the relationship between nutrition and health, tackling such topics as Alzheimer’s, autism, and cardiovascular diseases, as well as the impact of nutritional deficiencies and environmental toxins on human health.

At a [recent] conference, in a special panel discussion about GMOs, she took the audience by surprise when she declared, “At today’s rate, by 2025, one in two children will be autistic.” She noted that the side effects of autism closely mimic those of glyphosate toxicity, and presented data showing a remarkably consistent correlation between the use of Roundup on crops (and the creation of Roundup-ready GMO crop seeds) with rising rates of autism. Children with autism have biomarkers indicative of excessive glyphosate, including zinc and iron deficiency, low serum sulfate, seizures, and mitochondrial disorder.

A fellow panelist reported that after Dr. Seneff’s presentation, “All of the 70 or so people in attendance were squirming, likely because they now had serious misgivings about serving their kids, or themselves, anything with corn or soy, which are nearly all genetically modified and thus tainted with Roundup and its glyphosate.”

Dr. Seneff noted the ubiquity of glyphosate’s use. Because it is used on corn and soy, all soft drinks and candies sweetened with corn syrup and all chips and cereals that contain soy fillers have small amounts of glyphosate in them, as do our beef and poultry since cattle and chicken are fed GMO corn or soy. Wheat is often sprayed with Roundup just prior to being harvested, which means that all non-organic bread and wheat products would also be sources of glyphosate toxicity. The amount of glyphosate in each product may not be large, but the cumulative effect (especially with as much processed food as Americans eat) could be devastating. A recent study shows that pregnant women living near farms where pesticides are applied have a 60% increased risk of children having an autism spectrum disorder.

Other toxic substances may also be autism-inducing. You may recall our story on the CDC whistleblower who revealed the government’s deliberate concealment of the link between the MMR vaccine (for measles, mumps, and rubella) and a sharply increased risk of autism, particularly in African American boys. Other studies now show a link between children’s exposure to pesticides and autism. Children who live in homes with vinyl floors, which can emit phthalate chemicals, are more likely to have autism. Children whose mothers smoked were also twice as likely to have autism. Research now acknowledges that environmental contaminants such as PCBs, PBDEs, and mercury can alter brain neuron functioning even before a child is born.

This month, the USDA released a study finding that although there were detectable levels of pesticide residue in more than half of food tested by the agency, 99% of samples taken were found to be within levels the government deems safe, and 40% were found to have no detectable trace of pesticides at all. The USDA added, however, that due to “cost concerns,” it did not test for residues of glyphosate. Let’s repeat that: they never tested for the active ingredient in the most widely used herbicide in the world. “Cost concerns”? How absurd—unless they mean it will cost them too much in terms of the special relationship between the USDA and Monsanto. You may recall the revolving door between Monsanto and the federal government, with agency officials becoming high-paying executives—and vice versa! Money, power, prestige: it’s all there. Monsanto and the USDA love to scratch each others’ backs. Clearly this omission was purposeful.

In addition, as we have previously reported, the number of adverse reactions from vaccines can be correlated as well with autism, though Seneff says it doesn’t correlate quite as closely as with Roundup. The same correlations between applications of glyphosate and autism show up in deaths from senility.
Of course, autism is a complex problem with many potential causes. Dr. Seneff’s data, however, is particularly important considering how close the correlation is—and because it is coming from a scientist with impeccable credentials. Earlier this year, she spoke at the Autism One conference and presented many of the same facts; that presentation is available on YouTube.

Monsanto claims that Roundup is harmless to humans. Bacteria, fungi, algae, parasites, and plants use a seven-step metabolic route known as the shikimate pathway for the biosynthesis of aromatic amino acids; glyphosate inhibits this pathway, causing the plant to die, which is why it’s so effective as an herbicide. Monsanto says humans don’t have this shikimate pathway, so it’s perfectly safe.

Dr. Seneff points out, however, that our gut bacteria do have this pathway, and that’s crucial because these bacteria supply our body with crucial amino acids. Roundup thus kills beneficial gut bacteria, allowing pathogens to grow; interferes with the synthesis of amino acids including methionine, which leads to shortages in critical neurotransmitters and folate; chelates (removes) important minerals like iron, cobalt and manganese; and much more.

Even worse, she notes, additional chemicals in Roundup are untested because they’re classified as“inert,” yet according to a 2014 study in BioMed Research International, these chemicals are capable of amplifying the toxic effects of Roundup hundreds of times over.

Glyphosate is present in unusually high quantities in the breast milk of American mothers, at anywhere from 760 to 1,600 times the allowable limits in European drinking water. Urine testing shows Americans have ten times the glyphosate accumulation as Europeans.

In my view, the situation is almost beyond repair,” Dr. Seneff said after her presentation. “We need to do something drastic.”

Collapse in the UK

British society continues to break down irrevocably while the surveillance and police state is built.

1 million elderly Brits malnourished as third of councils cut ‘meals on wheels’ service
A third of all UK councils have scrapped ‘meals on wheels’ services to their elderly and vulnerable residents due government to spending cuts, putting senior citizens at risk of malnutrition and social isolation, research showed.

Over half expect further service reductions in the year ahead. A study by the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition claims more than one million older people in the UK are malnourished.

The total number of meals provided by UK meals on wheels services and lunch clubs has dropped from 40 million to 19 million meals over the past ten years.

Half of all local authorities in the UK expect even further service reductions in the year ahead because social care budgets are being tightened and funding is being slashed, according to the National Association of Care Catering.

The Association says tens of thousands of elderly people living alone rely on the delivery of regular meals for nutrition, social interaction and safety checks.

The NACC National Chair, Neel Radia, said: “The Community Meals Service is a crucial preventative service that enables older people to live in their own homes for longer, whilst maintaining their physical and emotional wellbeing and reducing pressure on the NHS.”

The abolition of community meals services is incredibly short-sighted and cuts a lifeline for many older people who can face social isolation and loneliness,” Radia added.

Dot Gibson, General Secretary of the National Pensioners Convention, says meals on wheels are a cost-effective lifeline for tens of thousands of older people.

But it’s not just about the food,” said Gibson. “It’s about the personal contact, relationships and the wider benefit that the service brings by keeping in touch with people and maintaining their wellbeing.”

Community meals are not a statutory local government requirement, which means they are at risk of being cut as councils try to save money and focus on services they are legally obliged to provide.

Radia urged the government to enshrine community meals in law to guarantee councils protect services for older people.

Last month, research by the Local Government Association showed councils were forced to divert £900 million from other budgets in order to maintain current spending on adult social care services.

Mentally ill children held in prison cells as care facilities cut
Vulnerable British children are finding themselves locked in prisons rather than receiving required medical help, as hospitals and medical centers lack the resources to treat them, new figures show.

The data, produced by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), shows counties including Norfolk, Hampshire and Devon have no facilities or places of safety for children under the age of 16.

Other areas of the country were found to have mental health units that were severely underfunded, meaning that fewer than five vulnerable children could be treated.
The data also showed that of the 23,000 incidents involving vulnerable individuals since last year, one in four were sent to prison cells.
More than 200 children were taken into police custody, despite recommendations that the measures should only be used in exceptional circumstances.”

The CQC’s analysis also showed that people were being turned away from treatment and rehabilitation centers because wards were full or short of staff.
The figures come after warnings from the Health Select Committee (HSC) of serious and deeply ingrained problems” with child and adolescent mental health services in the UK. The HSC also said government cuts to mental health services were putting more children at risk.

It’s hard to see how a police cell could possibly be considered a more suitable option,” said Sarah Woolaston MP, who chairs the HSC.

As a former police forensic examiner, I would suggest that anyone who believes so has probably never spent time in one; they are frightening places, especially at night.”

Woolaston also said at-risk children being detained by police sent a bad message, especially as they are in a distressed state” already.

However, the government insists it is investing money into mental health programs, and that it had launched a taskforce to drive up standards” in NHS wards.

We've invested £7m in new beds, I've launched a taskforce to improve services, and we are introducing a new waiting time standard to make sure young people with psychosis get prompt treatment,” said Care and Support Minister Norman Lamb.

Campaigners and academics have long criticized of the government’s mental health policies and how effective they are at helping young people.
On Monday, psychologists from the University of Reading said that teenagers with anxiety problems were being treated with a one-size-fits-all” approach to psychological problems, and that treatments given to young children were simply being “adapted” for teenagers.

According to the CQC, one in 10 children between the ages of 5 and 16 suffered some form of mental disorder, with the most common being anxiety, depression or behavioral problems.

Billions still spent on coal & oil subsidies as UK govt misses fossil fuels target – report
The UK is failing to meet its stated target to cut dependence on fossil fuels, despite mounting evidence of man-made climate change, a new report says.

RT,

According to the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the G20 nations have spent tens of billions of dollars finding fossil fuel sources such as coal and gas, despite recommendations that two thirds of non-renewable energy sources should remain unexploited.

The report also says the UK is providing £750 million a year in tax breaks to North Sea oil and gas.
While UK firms such as Centrica enjoy such generous tax breaks, international firms, including US based Chevron and Norwegian firm Statoil, are also understood to be receiving favorable tax conditions from the British government.

More than £400 million in public money is also going into fossil fuel exploration overseas, particularly in places like Siberia, Brazil and India, the ODI noted.
While the UK government has not commented on the report, it claims that money channeled into exploration firms is not a subsidy. It further argued that the oil and gas industry creates jobs and generates investment in the UK.”

However, the ODI has said that subsidizing energy firms was poor investment of public money” due to the low market price of fossil fuels, as well as their volatility in the global economy.

The government may argue that if it funds exploration now, it will be paid back later,” ODI director Kevin Watkins told the BBC.

Our argument is that in today's conditions, there is still likely to be a net loss – even when royalties and future tax revenues are taken into account – and that doesn't even take the climate change impact into account.”

The ODI report comes despite warnings from environmental science think tanks, including the Global Sustainability Institute, claiming the UK is close to running out of coal, oil and gas supplies. They estimate the country has less than 10 years’ worth of useable fossil fuel.

Pressure group Oil Change International (OCI), which contributed to the ODI report, called on world governments to end subsidies to energy firms exploring fossil fuels.
Five years ago, G20 governments pledged to phase out fossil fuel subsidies and take action to limit climate change,” said OCI Director Stephen Kretzmann. Progress on those pledges, however, has fallen short of expectations.

On Monday, Senior Naval Officer Rear Admiral Neil Morisetti told MPs the impact of climate change would drive the British Army into more conflicts in the future, as vulnerable nations face a growing risk of warfare over the Earth’s limited natural reяources.

American double standards

US ‘profoundly troubled’ by brutal beating of Palestine teen who turned out to be American

RT,
5 July, 2014

The US has condemned the beating and detention of a 15-year-old Palestinian-American by Israeli police after a massive social media campaign exploded in cyber space decrying the actions and hypocrisy of Israeli authorities.

We can confirm that Tarek Khdeir, an American citizen, is being held by Israeli authorities in Jerusalem. [Tarek Abu Khdeir ] was visited by an official from the US Consulate General in Jerusalem today,” US State Department spokeswoman, Jen Psaki, said in a press release.

The US is “profoundly troubled” by reports that the teenager was “severely beaten while in police custody” while visiting Israel on vacation from Tampa Florida, and strongly condemns “any excessive use of force.”

We are calling for a speedy, transparent and credible investigation and full accountability for any excessive use of force,” Psaki said.

Is this the kind of action you are supporting financially and diplomatically @JohnKerry Israeli police brutality?
A shocking video of the brutal attack that was leaked on the internet, showing Israeli police officers savagely beating the 15-year-old cousin of Mohammad Abu Khdeir who was burnt alive in East Jerusalem, has prompted outrage in the Palestinian community.

His family has issued a statement saying that “Tarek is in dire need of medical attention and his family is calling for his immediate release after this brutal beating and arbitrary arrest.”

Despite the obvious need of medical attention, the Israeli authorities refused to provide him with such for 5 hours, the family said in a press release. According to the family, the teenager was denied an Arab doctor and when his father asked that his son be treated at a hospital of their choice the request was also denied.

While in the hospital, his face had swollen to a degree to which he could not speak when conscious and blood was also found in his urine, concerning family that there could be internal bleeding,” relatives say.

The boy was then transferred directly to court but has not yet been formally charged, though authorities claim he was throwing stones “despite being unable to provide any evidence to the court.”

When asked by the court under what basis Tarek was being held, prosecutors said they were still “collecting evidence.”

Meanwhile the aunt of the teenager told the Electronic Intifada that Palestinians have no rights in Israel. “When I talked directly to [Tarek’s] mother she said the consulate told them we have to follow the legal procedures here [in Israel]. But there are no legal procedures for Palestinians. Palestinians aren’t considered human,” Suhad said.

: If Tarek Abu Khdeir weren't a US citizen, his brutal beating by Israeli police would likely have passed without much notice

The boy's father Salahedeen Khdeir said that Tarek was visiting his uncle’s house in an area where clashes continue between Israeli forces and Palestinians when he and five other teenagers were assaulted in the yard by two masked Israeli police agents. Tarek was injured the most in the incident up to the point where he was beaten to unconsciousness.

ABC News' Alex Marquardt spoke to the Tarek's mother Suha Abu Khdeir, who said that she is petrified to see the video of her son's assault.

I was infuriated, I was horrified, he is my son,” she said when asked what it was like to see her son in that condition in a hospital. “You never want to see your son in pain, especially in that kind of pain. He was not recognizable.” All the mother wants now is “justice.”

A lawyer with Addameer human rights group, who represented Tarek in court on Friday, said that the “beatings he received were severe enough to kill him, and cause severe injuries to his face and bruises on his head and chest. “

Despite this, the Magistrate’s Court refused to release him and extended his detention to Sunday for interrogation, stating that he may flee the country as he is an American citizen,” Addameer posted on their website.

It's sad when US politicians are more concerned with funding & protecting Israel than they are standing up for US citizens.

The judge viewing the reality of torture and attempted murder as recorded and documented on a video of the brutal beating suffered by the child, and the medical report submitted by Hadassah hospital, they chose to extend the child’s detention, risking him being exposed to further physical and psychological torture at the hands of interrogators in the Moskobiyeh interrogation center.”

@Remroum US support&funding is directly responsible for Tariq's torture and violations of human rights.

The lawyer also said that Israeli forces arrested 11 children and young men from the Jerusalem neighborhood of Shuafat the same day.

When the video of the beating broke international headlines, hundreds gathered in front of White House to protest against “US-financed Israeli aggression.”

Stop burning our kids, stop beating our kids, stop killing our kids,” were slogans being shouted out from the crowd.

In response to inhumane treatment of Palestinian prisoners by Israel, the US Palestinian Community Network has organized global protests to take place in over 20 cities, starting Saturday.

We call for an end to Israel’s collective punishment and violence against Palestinian men, women, and children. We call on mainstream US media to stop with its biased reporting, focusing on the Israeli youth killed and ignoring Palestinian youth killed. We demand fair and accurate coverage of the situation,” the network said.

The enraged online community also mobilized the activists to bombard the American embassy in Israel, posting their contact details.

CALL TO ACTION: American teen almost beaten to death by Israelis. Here's how you can help
Human rights groups such as End the Occupation and Palestinian Prisoner Solidarity Network, and Addameer also joined the campaign.

Addameer urges immediate action and calls on the United Nations, the International Committee of the Red Cross, the United States consulate and all regional embassies and consulates, human rights organizations and journalists to attend Tarek Abu Khdeir’s hearing on Sunday 6 July to investigate the intensified aggression against Palestinian children,” the organization said in a statement.

Just Foreign Policy campaign has also called for an action plan to “Urge the State Department, the US Embassy in Tel Aviv, and the US Consulate in East Jerusalem to protest Tarek’s beating by Israeli police, to demand that he receive adequate medical attention and due process, and to attend his court hearing on Sunday morning.”
