REMEMBER! 

8 from Occupy Auckland are in the Auckland District Court (Albert St) tomorrow - Wednesday 8 February 2012. 

Solidarity protest outside from 9.00am will be great - then the hearing on the 'Order of Committal for Contempt of Court' starting at 10am. 

This is SERIOUS. 8 named parties (including myself) are potentially facing imprisonment for allegedly breaching the Court Order made on 21 December 2011 by Judge Wilson by continuing to peacefully protest /camp at Aotea Square

Judge Wilson, in my considered opinion, treated the FACTS, the EVIDENCE and the LAW with contempt. 

I for one, treat his 'Court Order' with contempt. Decisions which are not based upon the RULE OF LAW - deserve to be treated with contempt. "WHEN INJUSTICE BECOMES LAW  - RESISTANCE BECOMES DUTY!" 

Council By Laws cannot 'trump' our lawful rights to peaceful assembly and freedom of expression - end of story. (s.155(3) Local Government Act 2002) 

I will NOT be silenced or bow down to municipal and judicial bullying and intimidation. I for one am prepared to go to jail in order to defend these fundamental human rights. 

This should help to cast a national and international spotlight on how our corporate-controlled Auckland Council is a $UPERCITY for the 1%, and how NZ status - 'perceived' to be the 'least corrupt country in the world' (according to Transparency International's 2011 'Corruption Perception Index') - is not worth the paper upon which it is written.

Tomorrow, in my opinion, will be a milestone case, for those representing the interests of the wealthy, corporate 1% vs the public majority 99%. 

Corporate rights (wrongs) - vs human rights?

Nearly the entire #OANZ media team was arrested. 

As many as 20 arrests; NOT 60 as stupid TVNZ is falsely reporting. 

There WERE however, 60+ cops on site, being instructed by gloating, smirking council members David Middleton & Natalie Verdouwe. 

New Zealand, I know they have lied to you for 3 1/2 months. I know they didn't report that Occupy Wall Street even EXISTED for nearly three weeks. I know they have told you we are hippies; we have hurt some grass; we have moved from place to place. 

IT IS ALL A LIE. 

It is time to pass the truth on because we are getting lied to on a daily basis by people with millions, and millions, and millions of public dollars.

 We have to stand up and push back. Not violently; but by legal channels. 

CALL: Auckland Central Police Station 09-302-6400 & demand the release of the peaceful protesters. CALL: Auckland Council; which is owned & controlled by corporate interests. 

There are Councillors who have been publicly encouraging the NZ Police to adopt NYPD-style tactics; ignoring the fact that the NYPD are currently being sued for HUMAN RIGHTS ABUSES relating to their conduct.

And he has betrayed us!!! 

Tell everyone you know the truth of what has happened. Ignore the mainstream media - they have already written the story before they arrive. 

They have outright refused to follow the leads we have given them; they are not even remotely interested in the truth - because if they were - they would be fired. 

That's what it comes down to. 

DON'T LET NZ BECOME A CORPORATE ENTITY!!! It has already started, now is the time to stand up and have your voice!!!

Occupy Auckland Attempted Eviction, Illegal Police Activity

On the 23/01/12 Auckland City Council hired private security firms red badge and provision to enforce the bylaws that were being breached by peaceful protesters.

This involved the confiscation of the property of the occupiers with what could at times be described as excessive force.

There were multiple notices with different wording and several notices even had hand written alterations to them.

The legality of the councils actions is most certainly in question.

Also we saw police standing idly by as the theft occurred, they were there supposedly to "protect the peace" but there is nothing peaceful about the way they illegally detained two protesters.

It is clear where the allegiances of the police lie and it is NOT with the people they are meant to protect!

 Also the legality of their operations has got to come into question when several were sited wearing identical QID badge numbers.

Shame on the police and shame on the council. Mainstream Media can not be trusted and that is why the responsibility to truthfully report and record important events lies with us, the people!
