Bashar Assad survives yet another one of his enemies
Is ‘Assad curse’ to blame for Aussie PM Turnbull’s ousting? Meme-magic strikes again…

25
August, 2018
Malcolm Turnbull’s sudden exit as Australia’s prime minister has resurrected a popular internet meme which honors all the world leaders who demanded that Syria’s Bashar Assad “must go,” only to been shown the door themselves.
According to certain corners of the internet, it’s the latter. The classic ‘Who must go?’ meme has kept a running tally of the multifarious American, European and Gulf leaders who over the past seven years have called for Assad’s ousting, and will now need to be updated.
The Assad curse has claimed another victim! Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has just been ousted by his own Party. Someone better update the Assad Curse list
Turnbull takes his place alongside former leaders like the UK’s David Cameron, France’s Francois Hollande and the US’ Barack Obama, who all left office or suffered defeat and embarrassment at the polls after issuing the familiar refrain “Assad must go.”
Assad must go! Who must go? Goodbye Cameron, Obama, Hillary. Merkel, Hollande you’re next http://theduran.com/assad-must-go-who-must-go-goodbye-cameron-obama-hillary-merkel-hollande-youre-next/ …#Syria #ISIS
Obama Clinton Cameron Hollande Hague Kerry an Co all were very clear: Assad must go... must've been a jinx.
The Assad ‘curse’ does not discriminate between those in power and those looking to get in. Hillary Clinton might as well have called off her campaign four years before her eventual defeat at the hands of Donald Trump when she said in 2012 “The world will not waver, Assad must go.”
Was
Barack Obama’s departure from the White House the result of
constitutionally-defined presidential term limits? Nope, classic
Assad.
What made Obama's wretched Syria policy even worse was his admin's insistence on endlessly repeating "Asssd must go" as a talking point while refusing to employ any ways and means to make that happen. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/04/obama-vetoed-assad-overthrow-plans/ …
The
only question remaining is where the Syrian leader could possibly
have acquired such powerful meme-weaponry? From none other than
Donald Trump himself, obviously. According to some basement-dwelling
4chan users, Trump was elected after his supporters harnessed the
power of meme magic, mostly by sharing
pictures of a cartoon frog called
Pepe.
Since
then, they’ve noted that Trump’s opponents can’t seem to stump
him. Trump’s supporters on reddit compiled a massive
list of
every time an opponent tried to defeat or embarrass Trump, only to
wind up losing. For example, when actor Kevin Spacey called Trump
a “disease” in
2016, it was clearly the Trump curse that led to him being accused of
sexual assault and made a Hollywood pariah. Facebook CEO Mark
Zuckerberg losing $17 billion in one day? The Trump curse. Stormy
Daniels filing for divorce? The Trump curse strikes again.
The
message is clear. Mess with meme magic at your own peril.
"Assad must go" is completely irrealistic!@saadhariri @David_Cameron @BarackObama @NicolasSarkozy @fhollande and other "big" leaders all failed before #BasharAlAssad #SyrianArmy #syrianchildren want peace!

Political crisis on both sides of the Tasman
UPDATE:
Wait – what? Simon Bridges expense leaker came from inside National
and is now threatening self harm???
24
August, 2018
This
is a ticking time bomb now and the National Party MP either steps
down themselves to end this or Bridges pushes ahead, outs the MP
himself and then risks that MP hurting themselves.

What
a devastating exclusive from Radio NZ…
Exclusive: Text plea to call off Bridges expense leak inquiry
It’s a major development in the saga over who leaked Mr Bridges’ expenses and raises huge questions about the stability of his leadership and disquiet among National MPs.
Sources have told RNZ Mr Bridges and the Speaker Trevor Mallard both received an anonymous text message last week from a person claiming to be responsible for leaking the information to Newshub.
The author of the text warned they suffered from mental health problems in the past and said being exposed publicly could push them over the edge and put their life at risk.
…well,
well, well.
How
do we know the leaker is a National Party MP?
The text, which RNZ has not seen, detailed a number of conversations and pieces of information from National caucus meetings over a period of weeks in an attempt to prove the author was a National MP.
So
the leak came from inside National and now the person who leaked it
is desperate to shut down the inquiry before they are outed and are
suggesting that if they are outed they will commit self harm???
This
is a ticking time bomb now and the National Party MP either steps
down themselves to end this or Bridges pushes ahead, outs the MP
himself and then risks that MP hurting themselves.
What
a meltdown.
Then
again, a Machiavellian person desperately wanting to stop this
investigation and needing to throw the whole thing off would make
this kind of claim wouldn’t they?
This
makes Australia’s current political self-mutilation look mild in
comparison.
UPDATE:
It is NOT an MP
I think this might be satire - lol
TURNBULL RESIGNS: “I want to spend more time with my family trusts”
22
August, 2015
Admitting
he has no hope of holding onto the Federal leadership of the Liberal
Party, Malcolm Turnbull resigned this morning. An emotional Turnbull
told reporters he would head back to his native country of Cayman
Islands, where he could spend more time with his family trusts.
“It
has been a privilege and an honour to be Prime Minister of Australia.
I really will be adding it to my LinkedIn profile as soon as I get
home,” he said, adding that he might get some good speaking gigs
out of it in the coming years. “I hear the Great Barrier Reef
Foundation has some spare cash to throw around.”
“I’d
like to think that my government is a government that has been in
touch with ordinary, everyday billionaires. The battler
billionaires.”
Listing
all of his legislative achievements while in office, Malcolm Turnbull
said, “That’s it for my prepared remarks.”

Scott
Morrison is the new leader of the Liberal Party and the thirtieth
prime minister of Australia
He
won in the second round of voting, 45-40, against Peter Dutton. Julie
Bishop was knocked out in the first round of voting.
Party
whip Nola Marino told reporters gathered in Canberra there was an
"overwhelming" vote in favour of Josh Frydenberg as deputy
leader.
