2020 was a year that turned the world on its head - but anyone hoping for respite in 2021 may have to think again, at least according to predictions made by blind Bulgarian mystic Baba Vanga.

The supposed clairvoyant predicted that the world will suffer from 'a lot of cataclysms and great disasters' in 2021 as three 'giants' unite and a 'strong dragon' seizes humanity. 

'Difficult times will come,' the mystic is said to have predicted before her own death in 1996, adding that 'people will be divided by their faith'.

'We are witnessing devastating events that will change the fate and destiny of humanity,' she said.

Some have interpreted the 'dragon' to be China's increasing dominance in the world. 

The 'Nostradamus of the Balkans' also predicted before her death that a cure for cancer would be found in 2021.

She said: 'The day will come when cancer will get tied with iron chains.'

Baba Vanga has become a cult figure among conspiracy theorists after some of her pronouncements proved eerily true.

However in recent years, many have doubted the legitimacy of her apparent prophecies which were not written down.

Her supposed predictions run until the year 5079 when she believes the world will come to an end. 

The mystic has also claimed Donald Trump will suffer deafness and mortal illness in 2021 and Vladimir Putin will have to fend off an assassination attempt next year, while Europe is bracing for a chemical attack from Muslim extremists. 

However, Trump and Putin can draw reassurance from the fact that the last two years' predictions were extremely similar and no such fate has befallen them, even though the US President did have a brush with Covid-19 this year.

Baba Vanga's prophecies of doom also include an army of 'Muslim extremists' invading Europe with chemical weapons.

Followers of the blind fortune-teller have been citing the same prediction of Europe's downfall for years and no such disaster has come to pass. 

Her claim that Europe would 'cease to exist by 2016' drew knowing nods when Britain voted to leave the EU in that year's referendum, rattling Brussels and sparking a bitter political fallout. 

However, even the most ardent Remainer would not claim that the result has left 'empty spaces and wasteland, nearly devoid of any form of life', as Baba Vanga foresaw. 

Her predicted 'great Muslim war' in Europe has also not materialised.  

An assassination attempt against Putin cannot be ruled out and a genuine plot to kill him was stopped in 2012.  

However, the Russian president surrounds himself with a highly-trained sniper squad whose only task is to keep him alive.

Putin should also be watching the skies for a giant meteorite which is due to hit Russia, according to Baba.  

Bulgarian Baba, who died at the age of 85 in 1996, was also known as the 'Nostradamus of the Balkans.'

She mysteriously lost her eyesight at the age of 12 during a massive storm.

Her family allegedly found her several days later on death's door – with her eyes sealed shut and covered with dirt.

She later claimed to have experienced her first vision when she was missing and believed she had been given the power to predict the future and heal others.

Believers claim that Baba even foretold the 9/11 attacks in 2001, saying 'two steel birds' would attack 'American brethren'.

She said: 'Horror, horror! The American brethren will fall after being attacked by the steel birds. The wolves will be howling in a bush, and innocent blood will be gushing.'

Four hijacked planes brought horror to America on September 11, 2001, which could be taken as proof that the 'steel birds' prediction was correct.  

The claim is vague enough that any number of disasters could be seen to fulfil the prophecy, but the 'accuracy' of her prediction has helped to give her a cult status. 

There is no authoritative source on her predictions and experts say many of them are passed on through social media in Russia. 

Among the less successful predictions attributed to her was that Barack Obama would be the 'last American president'. Donald Trump proved her wrong on January 20, 2017.  

In 1979, she told writer Valentin Sidorov that Russia would become 'lord of the world' after Europe became a 'wasteland.'

'All will thaw, as if ice, only one remain untouched – Vladimir's glory, glory of Russia,' she reportedly said - a possible reference to Putin. 

The mystic is also said to have prophesied Brexit by saying Europe as it is is know would 'cease to exist' by the end of 2016 and that an extremist army would invade Europe, none of which has happened so far.

Could it be possible that a “harbinger of doom” is about to cross directly over Washington D.C. on Sunday night? Some people seem to think so, and they are pointing to passages in the Bible such as the one where Jesus warns that there will be “signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars“ during the end times. I am sure that there will be a lot of debate about this all over America as the weekend progresses, but what we do know is that the eyes of the world are on Donald Trump right now, and a “super blood wolf moon” will cross directly over his house on Sunday night. But it isn’t just any ordinary night. It turns out that this will happen on exactly the second anniversary of Trump’s inauguration. Over the past several years there have been a number of very strange “coincidences” surrounding Donald Trump, and now this is one of the strangest of all. Could it be possible that someone is trying to tell us something?

On the other side of the planet, this eclipse won’t be visible. For example, nobody in China will get a glimpse of it at all. But it just so happens that this “super blood wolf moon” will be visible from every U.S. state…

The lunar eclipse will be visible at the end of this month, as the Moon is coated in a foreboding red hue. This year’s eclipse is a particularly rare type of blood moon, known as a Super Blood Wolf Moon. The occasion is often marked with fear for many, having formerly been regarded as a sign of the end times. There will be few areas which escape the scarlet satellite, including the USA, where every state will catch a glimpse.

A “super blood wolf moon” is quite rare, and the next one will not happen for many years. If you are not familiar with this term, it basically means that three lunar events are happening simultaneously…

“Super Moon” – a full moon that appears bigger than normal because it’s at its closest point to Earth during its orbit.

“Wolf Moon” – a Native American term used to describe the first full moon of the year.

“Blood Moon” – the moon appears to be reddish in color during a total lunar eclipse as the sun, Earth and moon all line up.

On Sunday night, the moon will be much bigger and brighter than normal, and during the eclipse it will appear to be blood red.

And according to the Express, it will be visible in Washington D.C. for a total of 5 hours and 12 minutes…

But just because this event is strange, does that mean that it has to have some sort of special significance?

Not necessarily, but many spiritual leaders are warning us to be watchful.

For example, this is what Pastor Mark Biltz is saying…

“Trump was born on the night of June 14, 1946, within 15 minutes of a total lunar eclipse and 700 days before the state of Israel was established,” Biltz said. “When he was sworn in as president on Jan. 20, 2017, he was 70 years old, seven months and seven days. Also, very significantly, the super blood moon also falls on the Jewish holiday of Tu B’Shevat. Even more significant is the fact that there was another blood moon on Tu B’Shevat last year. Last year, the blood moon was seen over the Middle East, and this year, will be seen over the U.S.”

Biltz said that from a biblical standpoint, having two blood moons on the same biblical holiday two years in a row is very significant.

And in a Charisma News article about this eclipse, Rabbi Fish is warning that we are entering a time of “great human suffering”…

“This is the period we are entering now,” Rabbi Fish stated baldly, emphasizing that the Western nations are about to enter an extremely challenging era. “There will be great tragedies that will bring down governments and great human suffering. Only by doing God’s will can tragedies be avoided or lessened.”

Lastly, Pastor Paul Begley is boldly proclaiming that now is a time for urgency…

During an online sermon, the preacher said: “Obviously these apocalyptic signs in the heavens are pointing to a catastrophic event that is just on the horizon.

“We don’t know when – just because you’re going to have a Super Blood Moon on January 20 and January 21, doesn’t mean on January 22 all hell’s going to break loose.

“But then again it doesn’t mean it won’t, ok, so there’s these signs that are starting to be revealed.

“The urgency folks is now. Right now, ok? The urgency has begun.”

Whether Sunday night’s “super blood wolf moon” ultimately means anything or not, the truth is that we certainly have entered apocalyptic times and 2019 is certainly shaping up to be a very troubled year. We are in the midst of the longest government shutdown ever, the two largest economies on the entire planet are engaged in a trade war, the global economy is steamrolling toward a recession, anger and frustration are rising to dangerous levels in our society, very strange and unusual signs are happening all over the world, and the crust of our planet is being shaken by one large seismic event after another.

Global events are starting to accelerate, and it looks like 2019 is going to be quite a chaotic year. So whatever you may believe about Sunday night’s “super blood wolf moon”, the truth is that we all need to get ready for tough times ahead.

We’re already at war in numerous countries all over the world.

But top economic advisers warn that economic factors could lead to a new world war.

Kyle Bass writes:

Trillions of dollars of debts will be restructured and millions of financially prudent savers will lose large percentages of their real purchasing power at exactly the wrong time in their lives. Again, the world will not end, but the social fabric of the profligate nations will be stretched and in some cases torn. Sadly, looking back through economic history, all too often war is the manifestation of simple economic entropy played to its logical conclusion. We believe that war is an inevitable consequence of the current global economic situation.

Martin Armstrong writes this week:

We will be updating the Cycle of War. Obviously, it is time once again. Especially since that model also hit to the day 3 times in a row.

Similarly, Larry Edelson wrote an email to subscribers entitled “What the “Cycles of War” are saying for 2013″, which states:

However, there are very few people who are willing to even discuss the issue right now. And based on what I’m seeing, the implications could be absolutely huge in 2013.

Former Goldman Sachs technical analyst Charles Nenner – who has made some big accurate calls, and counts major hedge funds, banks, brokerage houses, and high net worth individuals as clients – saysthere will be “a major war starting at the end of 2012 to 2013”, which will drive the Dow to 5,000.

Veteran investor adviser James Dines forecast a war is epochal as World Wars I and II, starting in the Middle East.

Nouriel Roubini has warned of war with Iran. And when Roubini was asked:

Where does this all lead us? The risk in your view is of another Great Depression. But even respectable European politicians are talking not just an economic depression but possibly even worse consequences over the next decade or so. Bearing European history in mind, where does this take us?

He responded:

In the 1930s, because we made a major policy mistake, we went through financial instability, defaults, currency devaluations, printing money, capital controls, trade wars, populism, a bunch of radical, populist, aggressive regimes coming to power from Germany to Italy to Spain to Japan, and then we ended up with World War II.

Now I’m not predicting World War III but seriously, if there was a global financial crisis after the first one, then we go into depression: the political and social instability in Europe and other advanced economies is going to become extremely severe. And that’s something we have to worry about.

Billionaire investor Jim Rogers notes:

A continuation of bailouts in Europe could ultimately spark another world war, says international investor Jim Rogers.

“Add debt, the situation gets worse, and eventually it just collapses. Then everybody is looking for scapegoats. Politicians blame foreigners, and we’re in World War II or World War whatever.”

Marc Faber says that the American government will start new wars in response to the economic crisis:

• “The next thing the government will do to distract the attention of the people on bad economic conditions is they’ll start a war somewhere.”

• “If the global economy doesn’t recover, usually people go to war.”

We’re in the middle of a global currency war – i.e. a situation where nations all compete to devalue their currencies the most in order to boost exports. And Brazilian president-elect Rousseff said in 2010:

The last time there was a series of competitive devaluations … it ended in world war two.

Jim Rickards agrees:

Currency wars lead to trade wars, which often lead to hot wars. In 2009, Rickards participated in the Pentagon’s first-ever “financial” war games. While expressing confidence in America’s ability to defeat any other nation-state in battle, Rickards says the U.S. could get dragged into “asymmetric warfare,” if currency wars lead to rising inflation and global economic uncertainty.

As does Jim Rogers:

Trade wars always lead to wars.

And given that many influential economists wrongly believe that war is good for the economy … many are overtly or quietly pushing for war.

Moreover, former Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan said that the Iraq war was really about oil, and former Treasury Secretary Paul O’Neill says that Bush planned the Iraq war before 9/11. And seethis and this. If that war was for petroleum, other oil-rich countries might be invaded as well.

And the American policy of using the military to contain China’s growing economic influence – and of considering economic rivalry to be a basis for war – are creating a tinderbox.

Finally, multi-billionaire investor Hugo Salinas Price says:

What happened to [Libya's] Mr. Gaddafi, many speculate the real reason he was ousted was that he was planning an all-African currency for conducting trade. The same thing happened to him that happened to Saddam because the US doesn’t want any solid competing currency out there vs the dollar. You know Gaddafi was talking about a gold dinar.

Indeed, senior CNBC editor John Carney noted:

Is this the first time a revolutionary group has created a central bank while it is still in the midst of fighting the entrenched political power? It certainly seems to indicate how extraordinarily powerful central bankers have become in our era.

Robert Wenzel of Economic Policy Journal thinks the central banking initiative reveals that foreign powers may have a strong influence over the rebels.

This suggests we have a bit more than a ragtag bunch of rebels running around and that there are some pretty sophisticated influences. “I have never before heard of a central bank being created in just a matter of weeks out of a popular uprising,” Wenzel writes.

Indeed, some say that recent wars have really been about bringing all countries into the fold of Western central banking.

Numerous economic organizations and economists also warn of crash-induced unrest, including:
