Georgia judge dismisses Sidney Powell's Kraken law suit out of hand
After listening to this (and especially Trump) I am more and more dubious about narratives about martial law and the like. It seems to me that Trump huffs and puffs but is already setting his sights on 2024.
I am working on a project relating to China that is taking my attention. Unless I get some immediate energy and inspiration it may take some time as I am slower now.
I want to give some thought and present my thoughts about China because they have changed in the last 12 months.
JUDGE DISMISSES KRAKEN LAWSUIT WITHOUT LOOKING AT EVIDENCE

Sidney Powell To Appeal
Dismissal Of Georgia Lawsuit

The legal team led by former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell will appeal the dismissal of the election lawsuit tossed by a federal judge on Monday.
Powell told The Epoch Times in an email that they “will proceed as fast as possible to the Supreme Court.”
U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Batten dismissed Powell’s lawsuit on Dec. 7, opining that the plaintiffs have no standing to sue, should have brought the lawsuit to a state court, and had filed the case too late.
“There’s no question that Georgia has a statute that explicitly directs that elections contests be filed in Georgia Superior Court,” Batten, an appointee of President George Bush, said in explaining his decision following an hour of oral arguments in court on Monday. “They are state elections. State courts should evaluate these proceedings from start to finish.”
Batten signaled his skepticism about the lawsuit at the opening of the hearing, choosing some of the talking points emphasized by the defendants to introduce the case.
Powell filed the lawsuit on Nov. 25 on behalf of the presidential electors for President Donald Trump. One of the core allegations of the lawsuit concerns election machines and software by Dominion Voting Systems. The lawsuit cited several affiants to claim that the Dominion machines were manipulated to illegally alter the outcome of the Nov. 3 election.
“Their primary complaint involves the Dominion ballot marking devices. They say that those machines are susceptible to fraud. There’s no reason they could not have followed the administrative procedure act to object to the rulemaking authority that had been exercised by the secretary of state. This suit could have been filed months ago when the machines were adopted,” Batten said.
Plaintiffs asked the court to decertify the results of the election, a remedy the judge deemed extraordinary.
Powell also alleged the existence of several other categories of potentially illegal votes, each sufficient to dispute the outcome of the election. She disagreed with the argument that the plaintiffs do not have standing or brought the suit too late.
“For those reasons we request the court to deny the motion to dismiss, allow us a few days, perhaps even just five, to conduct an examination of the machines that we have requested from the beginning and find out exactly what went on and give the court further evidence it might want to rule in our favor because the fraud that has happened here has destroyed any public confidence that the will of the people is reflected in their vote and just simply cannot stand,” Powell said in closing her argument.

In its latest act of censorship against Sidney Powell, one of the attorneys spearheading legal challenges that allege voter fraud in the 2020 US presidential election, Twitter has blocked links to her legal defense fund website.
Twitter appears to have started blocking links to the site shortly after Powell published her 104-page complaint in Georgia that alleges “massive election fraud” and “multiple violations of Georgia laws.”
Powell is hosting a copy of the filing on her legal defense fund website but shortly after it was posted, Twitter users started to notice that they were being blocked from sharing it and presented with a message that states: “Your tweet couldn’t be sent because this link has been identified by Twitter or our partners as being potentially harmful.”
Existing links to the filing that were tweeted before the block was implemented are now being hidden behind a warning page that claims the link is “potentially spammy or unsafe” and urges users to return to Twitter.
Twitter’s swift blocking of Powell’s website follows Twitter temporarily suspending her account earlier this week.
Powell’s tweets have also been shadowbanned from Twitter search which means that even if Twitter users actively search for the latest tweets from Powell’s account, Twitter will show no results.
This censorship of Powell is reflective of the mass post-election night censorship across Twitter that has resulted in the restriction and removal of many posts and links discussing election-related lawsuits or alleging that voter fraud occurred.
Earlier this month, Twitter temporarily blocked links to two official South Dakota GOP websites after the party attempted to tweet its support for President Trump’s post-election lawsuits. StopTheSteal.us, a site that was coordinating grassroots post-election protests and events, also had links to its site temporarily blocked by Twitter this month. Twitter later reversed the blocks and claimed that the domains were blocked “mistakenly” and that it was a “misunderstanding.”
Numerous other Twitter accounts that were providing post-election night coverage have also been suspended and President Trump has had many of his post-election night tweets suppressed.
Twitter admits that some of its post-election night censorship measures have slashed total retweets and quote tweets by 20%.
But despite the existing censorship causing a drastic drop off in engagement, Twitter is working on additional censorship measures which include new warnings that will discourage users from sharing and liking tweets.

I will continue to represent #WeThePeople who had their votes for Trump and other Republicans stolen by massive fraud through Dominion and Smarmatic, and we will be filing suit soon.
Powell continues, "The chips will fall where they may, and we will defend the foundations of this great Republic," and ends with the hashtag #KrakenOnSteroids.

The Trump Campaign issued a Sunday evening statement to clarify that attorney Sidney Powell, who has promised to unleash a 'biblical' election lawsuit in Georgia, is not part of the campaign's legal team.
Trump Campaign general counsel Jenna Ellis tweeted a joint statement with Rudy Giuliani which reads: "Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity."
The announcement comes on the heels of a Saturday interview Powell gave to Newsmax, during which she said an upcoming election lawsuit in Georgia "will be biblical."
"Georgia's probably going to be the first state I'm gonna blow up," she told the conservative news network, adding "We've got tons of evidence. It's so much, it's hard to pull it all together."
"Hopefully, this week we will get it ready to file, and it will be biblical."
Powell then claimed that Georgia Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger were being paid as part of a conspiracy with Dominion Voting Systems.
"And Mr. Kemp and the secretary of state need to go with it because they're in on the Dominion scam with their last-minute purchase or reward of a contract to Dominion of $100 million," Powell alleged, while encouraging Georgia law enforcement officials to investigate.
Powell claimed at a press conference last week, standing next to Giuliani and Ellis, that Dominion Voting Systems machines had flipped millions of votes in favor of former Vice President Joe Biden - a claim she presented no evidence for, which has divided the MAGA camp between those demanding receipts (she notably bailed on an appearance with Tucker Carlson), and those who say she should be given time to assemble her case and present it in court.
Oddly, Trump seemed to consider Powell a member of his legal team last week.
Earlier Saturday, Trump attorney Jordan Sekulow hinted on Newsmax that there would be a "shocking" lawsuit filed in Georgia.
"I can't tell you right now what is coming in Georgia, but what is coming in Georgia will be shocking," he said.
Some on team MAGA did not respond kindly to the Trump Campaign's statement.
Others have noted that Ellis herself tagged Powell as a member of the team:
The Washington Post, meanwhile (so take with appropriate grains of salt) is reporting that Trump told his advisers Powell was 'too much' for him, and doesn't view her as helpful anymore.

As we suspected, the news this evening about Sidney Powell not being on the Trump team is an act to protect Sidney and the Trump team and not a message of disappointment in her latest interviews and actions at all.
The Trump campaign issued a statement Sunday night announcing Sidney Powell is not a member of President Trump’s legal team.
The statement was posted online by campaign attorney Jenna Ellis on behalf of lead campaign attorney Rudy Giuliani.
Powell had appeared at a campaign legal team press conference earlier this week alongside Giuliani and Ellis.
Attorney Sidney Powell was not able to respond tonight.
Sidney was censored and suspended by Twitter earlier today.
Mike Flynn, Jr. released a statement tonight.
Sidney is staying the course to prove the massive deliberate election fraud that robbed the American people of our votes for President Trump and many Republican candidates.
