A breakdown of the current situation in Venezuela

IDENTITY OF THE D.C. OPERATIVE IN VENEZUELA REVEALED WITH MONTHS LONG PLOTTING TOTALLY THAT HAVE UNRAVELED

I do not know how far this has spread across the mainstream media but this is the headline from the Daily Mail today.

It is all being painted as evidence that Maduro is losing his grip on power even as the coup that the entire US elite and their allies together with the entirety of the western media were pinning their hopes on has completely and utterly failed and they have to scramble around for another narrative to explain the failure.

A You Tuber called Florida Maquis who I have followed from time to time provides the background to all this.

He explains that back late last year Maduro's presidential caravan was intercepted by members of Sebin (the Venezuelan security agency) who who were in the words of Florida Maquis traitors and who had designs of killing Maduro. According to this they were uncovered and the military intervened to get rid of them.

Sebin was headed at the time by Gonzales Lopez 

At about the same time an opposition member called Fernando Albin was being held at Sebin prison and committed suicide by throwing himself out of a window during the visit of US politicians.

Whatever the truth behind these two events the end result was that because of the security failures Maduro replaced Lopez with  this man, Manuel Ricardo Cristopher Figuera.

Florida Maquis contends that this was part of a plot to prepare for yesterday's events by having Washington's stooge, Figuera in place as head of security.

Yesterday I came across a story where members of the army were told to turn up for what they were told was an award ceremony when in fact it was an attempted coup.


The person who put out the message was none other than Manuel Ricardo Cristopher Figuera.

Is it heroic to take bribes, lie to your people and work to overthrow your government colluding with a government of a foreign nation?


These are questions that Florida Maquis asks and ones I do too.


Florida Maquis is very partisan in his positive view of the Maduro government. I am more conservative than he is and would not question that corruption and inefficiency are NOT part of the picture but this pales in oomparison with the actions of a rapacious empire - the oil weapon, crippling sanctions and destablisation politically.



The people of Venezuela have spoken and made their choice in elections that are as free as anywhere (certain the United States!)

THE SITUATION IN THE CARBIBBEAN

Florida Maquis has said this presages a very dark change in the attitude the elite in Washington DC.

The neocons thought they had everything worked out and everything was done and dusted. They had everything depending on the success of this event, something that they thought would lead to a wave of defections that would force Maduro out.

However, It didn't work.


It looks very much as if the Americans are looking at invasion. This seems to be confirmed by looking at the shipping off the coast of Venezuela.

Florida Maquis removed all other types of shipping and what you are left with is a whole flotilla of what seem to be large, naval vessels just sitting off the NE coast of Venezuela as if they are waiting for instructions.
