A
new 5.7-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal Saturday, weeks after a huge
quake killed thousands of people, US Geological Survey (USGS)
reported.

to the USGS, the natural disaster took place 47 miles southeast from
the capital Kathmandu.

On
April 25, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal. A series of strong
aftershocks followed the natural disaster. More than 7,000 people
were killed, twice as many were injured.
The
quake also caused tremors in neighboring India, Bangladesh, China and
Bhutan, leading to casualties.
On
Tuesday, another 7.4-magnitude quake shook Nepal, killing 36 people
and injuring more than 1,000
