The Syrian Arab Army is now moving to attack the Turkish invaders

SYRIA DECLARES WAR

ON TURKEY

Hal Turner,
13 October, 2019

The Syrian government has DECLARED WAR upon Turkey over invasion of northern Syria by Turkish armed forces.

The Syrian Arab Army is now moving to attack the Turks inside Syria.

This is a major story which will be updated.

CONFIRMATION: Syrian state media report that the SAA are moving north to confront the invading Turkish military.

VIDEO STATEMENT:

Official statement of #Syria Arab Army: Soon, the SAA will enter Qamishli, Manbij & other cities to prevent their fall into hands of Turkish. They will also confront terrorists in Ras al-Ayn & Tal Abyad. SAA will defend the Kurds against Erdogan

UPDATE 2:54 PM EDT --
"Seeing multiple reports that the Kurds have reached a deal with Assad, whereby Assad's forces would enter Manbij and Kobani to protect Kurds from Turkey attack"

Russian forces in Syria confirm agreement with Kurds for Assad regime to enter Kobani

UPDATE 3:03 PM EDT --
The General Command of the Army and Armed Forces of Syria declares that units from the Syrian Army have entered Manbij and raised the Syrian flag there.

Coalition contact confirms SDF have made a deal with the Syrian government. The last few days have been brutal. Mazloum met with the Russians. It is unclear at this stage whether it's just for Manbij and Kobane or a much-wider deal.

Syria government is going to aid the Kurds in NE Syria. It is now confirmed by SDF official. In few hours, Assad will send troops to support YPG/Rojava/SDF & prevent Turkish occupation of Kobani, Manbij & Qamishli!

"Hearing it’s a much, *much* wider deal than just those two cities. Not sure when it will be announced though"

UPDATE 3:06 PM EDT --
It's very early and the situation is very fluid.

But it may be that we see a full scale Kurdish surrender to the Assad regime tonight.
Abandoned by the US, it looks like SDF will try to spare their cities from Turkish onslaught by allowing Syrian forces to take them over.

*****BULLETIN *****
UPDATE 3:10 PM EDT --
Russia Imposes NO FLY ZONE over MANBIJ and Kobane to stop Turkish air strikes.  Turks informed they may not fly in those areas and will be engaged by Syrian/Russian surface-to-air missiles if they fail to comply.

Hal Turner Analysis

"Nightmare scenario... the US forces withdrawing from NE Syria is just the beginning. Because the remaining US forces in Syria are holding the line against Iranian forces near the border with Israel.
Another scenario... The Kurds new alliance with Damascus brings Syrian forces face to face with Turkish forces.
President Erdogan gets the war with President Assad he’s been aching for. Iran backs Assad. Turkey is a member of NATO... what other countries are pulled in?  Maybe NONE because Turkey entered Syria.  Turkey cannot claim to have been "attacked."  NATO has no obligation.

UPDATE 3:30 PM EDT --
It's official

AFP news reports:

Kurds have announced they have reached a deal with Assad for protection.
Self Administration of NE Syria announces an agreement with Syrian Government to protect Syrian borders with SDF against Turkey. It will also help liberating all areas from Turkey including Afrin

UPDATE 5:34 PM EDT--
Pro-Turkish forces cut off the main road between the east and west of Syrian Kurdish territory Sunday, effectively cutting off the main city of Kobani.

The move blocks the main highway -- and perhaps only route -- to Kobani, where US troops are based.

Turkish military armored personnel carriers on the M4 highway between Tal Tamr and Ain Issa, parked by the side of the road. Further reinforcements made their way through the dust towards the dozen armored vehicles, parked 10 meters (about 30ft) from the road.

Meanwhile, a US official said American forces in Syria had yet to receive a formal order to withdraw, but were preparing to do so.

The official added that the situation on the ground is deteriorating rapidly in northeast Syria, and confirmed that Turkish proxies, which the official describes as including "extremists," have advanced along the M4 highway setting up multiple checkpoints.

He said these proxy forces were wearing SDF uniforms and killing civilians on the highway. US Forces and SDF no longer control ground lines of communication or Turkish aircraft flying overhead.

"US forces are at risk of being isolated and there is increased risk of confrontation between Turkish proxies and US forces unless Turkey halts their advance immediately," the official said.

more . . .
Major development, SDF agrees to hand over NE Syria to Assad. Syrian army is on the move to Manbij, Ain Issa, Kobani and all of NE Syria.

UPDATE 6:25 PM EDT --
Erdogan's adviser Yasin Aktay spoke to the Russian news agency Sputnik Arabic:

"If the Syrian Army tries to enter the northeast of Syria, Turkey will resist. It may come to a conflict between the two armies.

If Turkish military and Syrian military start to fight it could be interesting. We should know in 24 to 48 hours.
(Perhaps Erdogan's adviser isn't aware that the Syrians are already on their way with the stated purpose of engaging the Turkish Army?)

UPDATE 7:01 PM EDT --
US troops notified the Syrian Army they need more time to remove some heavy weapons, (sensitive) documents and other military equipment.

Full control to the SAA first thing in the morning.

COVERT INTEL
More public updates will appear below.  THE FOLLOWING SENTENCE IS VERBATIM FROM A COVERT INTELLIGENCE SOURCE, ON THE GROUND, INSIDE SYRIA.  THIS IS WHAT HE TOLD ME DIRECTLY JUST MOMENTS AGO  7:03 PM EDT --

"It looks like a fight will start in a few hours. Both the SAA and Turks are already getting into position and digging in for a clash in a few hours. War is on!
