MOSCOW, 17 Jun — RIA Novosti. US intelligence agencies are trying to carry out cyber attacks on the control system of the Russian infrastructure, RIA Novosti said quoting a source in the leadership of one of the law enforcement agencies.

So he commented on the publication in The New York Times of June 15 on the buildup of us intelligence cyberattacks against Russia.

According to the source, foreign intelligence agencies in recent years with increasing activity are trying to infiltrate the transport management system, the banking sector and energy.

"However, we are managing to neutralise these actions," he said.

The source added that such actions can be considered elements of cyber warfare.

The New York Times last weekend wrote that American intelligence agencies have increased attempts to introduce malware into the electricity system of Russia. US President Donald Trump denied the newspaper's allegations and called the authors "enemies of the people" and noted that the publication of such "fake news" is "in fact treason by the once great newspaper.
