Muslim prayers in Christchurch to commemorate the Christchurch shooting a week ago

Muslim call to prayer and sermon in Christchurch

Ordinarily I would react positively to this but while I love this in the host countries it feels strange to me to have a Muslim call to prayer in this country,especially in the context of Christianity and its symbols being expunged from all areas of NZ life except for the churches.

I can't help wondering if it hadn't been 50 Muslims, but, say 50 Buddhists if we would have had a prayer vigil.
