Weather does not SEEM as hot as the media describes it

Observations about the current weather in New Zealand

It is not often that I can say the media is exaggerating about the weather. It seems a lot warmer than the 'average' (yesterday's average maximum has become today's miniumum) but it has not seemed too hot here in Lower Hutt.

Aussie heatwave arrives with scorching temperatures into the 30s

I thought, maybe it is just Welly weather so I checked.

Right now my thermometer tells me it is 25C which is what it has been for most of the summer for weeks.

The actual temepratures don't seem to match the headlines, but I would love feedback from other parts of the country
