Methane release from Siberia and Novaya Zemlya

New methane in from CAMS for Saturday, 26 January, 2019

I have presented the data in a new way which hones in on the polar region and clearly shows methane coming in waves from northern Siberia as well as from the sea bottom at Novay Zemlya.

Note that the area is in darkness.  The sun will return to the North Pole by the end of March

Just imagine. Svalbard,where there are waters up to +15 degrees celsius is in darkness!!
