News from the Middle East and Syria

ISIS kills 200 innocents in Syria – no outrage in western media
This is described by the Guardian as an “offensive”, not a terrorist attack.

Horrific. In the deadliest attack in Syria in years, over 200 innocents - children, women, elderly, entire families - were killed by ISIS terrorists in Sweida today. Where is the global outrage? Or is that only reserved for unverified chemical attacks?

How did tens of ISIS suicide attackers pass so close next to the US base in in the Syrian desert to commit a massacre against 100 civilians in towns east of ?!
Nearly 200 people killed in deadliest attack this year in Syria

25 July, 2018

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:40 P.M.) – The death toll from the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorist attack in the provincial capital of Al-Sweida has risen to 195, a source in Damascus told Al-Masdar News this evening.

The Islamic State’s official media wing has claimed responsibility for this terrorist attack in Sweida city.

This latest terrorist strike by the Islamic State in Al-Sweida is the deadliest attack in Syria in the last two years.

Most of the casualties from this terrorist attack were civilians, despite contrasting claims by the Islamic State’s official media wing.

The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has responded to the Islamic State’s terrorist attack by launching a large-scale assault in northeast Al-Sweida.

Since they launched this attack, the Syrian Army has killed dozens of terrorist combatants, while also liberating several areas.

Breaking: Israeli forces hit Gaza hard after sniper fire targets IDF

25 July, 2018

BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:00 P.M.) – The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) launched a powerful attack, tonight, after unknown sniper fire targeted some of their soldiers near a border fence.

According to local Palestinian activists, the Israeli forces targeted several areas on the Gaza Strip, including the Al-Bureij Camp and Khan Younis.

The Gazan Health Ministry has reported that at least three people have been killed and several others wounded as a result of the Israeli attack.

In response, the Palestinian forces in the Gaza Strip have reportedly launched retaliatory missiles towards the Israeli northern settlements; this prompted the IDF to activate their rocket sirens in area.

The Israeli Air Force then carried out a number of airstrikes over the Al-Qassam Brigades military posts in the Gaza Strip.

Both parties are now engaging in retaliatory attacks in northern and eastern Gaza.

Militants from several groups, including Jabhat al-Nusra (outlawed in Russia) are planning an offensive on positions of Syrian government troops, concentrating forces simultaneously on several directions, the chief of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of the Warring Parties, Major General Alexei Tsygankov, told reporters on Wednesday.

According to available information, the leaders of Hayyat Tahrir Ahrar al-Sham, Jabhat Tahrir Suriya (formed as merger of Nour al-Din al-Zenki Movement and Ahrar al-Sham), Suqour al-Sham and Falak al-Sham agreed to set up joint operational headquarters to conduct an attack on positions of government forces,” the general said.

Large groups have concentrated simultaneously on several directions – mountains of northern Latakia, al-Ghab valley on the border of Hama and Idlib provinces and areas west of Aleppo,” he said.

BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 P.M.) – The Russian Aerospace Forces launched a massive retaliatory assault against the Islamic State (ISIS) after the latter carried out deadly terrorist attack that killed nearly 200 people in Al-Sweida.

The Russian jets hammered the Islamic State forces in the Yarmouk Basin region, inflicting heavy damage on the terrorist group’s dens and trenches around southwest Daraa.

According to a military source in Daraa, the Russian Aerospace Forces launched over 25 airstrikes since the Islamic State terrorist attack in Al-Sweida, with most of these strikes targeting the northwestern corridor of the Yarmouk Basin region.

While the Russian Aerospace Forces hit the Islamic State from the air, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has been striking the terrorist group from the ground.

The Syrian Army is reportedly attempting to advance around the strategic Jaleen area in a bid to liberate more towns from the Islamic State affiliated Jaysh Khaled bin Walid forces.

Furthermore, the Syrian Army has already liberated several areas in the northwestern corridor of the Yarmouk Basin region, including the key town of Saida.

With several areas already lost in southern Al-Quneitra, the Islamic State is likely to retreat further south in the coming hours, as the Syrian Arab Army and their allies continue their large-scale advance in the Yarmouk Basin region.

Move comes after Yemen's Houthi rebels targeted Saudi oil tankers in the Bab El-Mandeb Strait on Wednesday.

Saudi Arabia, the world's top oil exporter, temporarily suspended all oil shipments through the Bab El-Mandeb Strait after attacks on two crude-carrying vessels by Houthi rebels in Yemen.

Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister Khalid al-Falih said on Thursday the kingdom would halt all oil shipments through the strait immediately.

The suspension will last "until the situation becomes clearer and the maritime transit through Bab El-Mandeb is safe", Falih said in a statement.

Houthi rebels targeted Saudi tankers in the Red Sea causing minor damage to one, the Saudi-Emirati coalition fighting the group in the war-torn country said.

Meanwhile, this is what is being reported by anti-Semitic but pro-Israel Hal Turner is reporting.

Despite the frightful bias, at least he's pointing to something that is totally ignored by western media.
