Things have become more complicated on the Syrian front

Syrian Army loses control of town it captured earlier today after jihadist counterattack

IDLIB, Syria - Earlier today the elite Tiger Forces of the Syrian Army, the 4th Division and the National Defense Forces liberated the town of Al-Khuwein from Al-Nusra forces after fierce clashes, as reported by FRN.

However, a counter attack by the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front and Jaysh Al-‘Izza allowed for the jihadist groups to retain control of Al-Khuwein in the southeastern countryside of Idlib this afternoon.

The counterattack was made swiftly before the Syrian Army could consolidate its defenses and withdrew before the jihadists could inflict severe casualties.

The Syrian Army are expected in the coming days to make its own counterattack where its success will see a quick consolidation of its defenses.

The Syrian Army are just days into its offensive against terrorist groups operating in jihadist-held Idlib province in northwest Syria. The new operation has seen much success with a many hilltops and settlements being liberated with the total capitulation of the entire southeast countryside of the province expected to come back to government control over the coming week or so.

Syrian Army keeps obliterating terrorist forces and liberates another town in Idlib

IDLIB, Syria - The Syrian Army has continued to keep smashing the Al-Qaeda affiliated Al-Nusra Front in Syria's northwestern Idlib-Hama province axis and has liberated another town.

The elite Tiger Forces of the Syrian Army, the 4th Division and the National Defense Forces liberated the town of Al-Khuwein from Al-Nusra forces after fierce clashes.

Since liberating the town, the combined pro-government forces have pushed their efforts west to capture large swathes of open territory from the terrorist group.

Pro-government forces have made massive advancements on this axis and are set to liberate the entirety of Idlib's southern countryside within no time at all.

Syria's northwest Idlib province was overrun jihadist who mobilized in Turkey and advanced on the entirety of the province in early 2015, with the exception of the Shi'ite towns of Fua and Kefraya.

BREAKING: ISIS claims to have caused 70 casualties on Kurdish-led forces in eastern Syria

DEIR EZZOR, Syria - ISIS terrorists have claimed to have sustained 70 casualties on the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) today in the eastern province of Deir Ezzor.

The attack took place in the village of Al-Bahra on the eastern side of the Euphrates Shield.

Although the village is under the control of the US-backed SDF, the Kurdish-led forces failed to secure the village which allowed a German-born jihadist to carry out a suicide attack.

The resulting attack killed 20 SDF fighters and injured a further 50, according to an ISIS bulletin released earlier today.

It took the SDF two days to capture the town, demonstrating that ISIS are still capable of putting up stiff resistance and carry out deadly attacks.
