ON THE BRINK: US Nuclear Bombers Drop Payload on Kim’s Doorstep

The United States concluded its massive military drill with South Korea with an epic show of force on Thursday, using Nuclear capable bombers to hit targets along the North Korean border in response to Kim Jong Un’s recent missile test.

According to the New York Times, Four US fighter jets and two nuclear-capable USB-1B bombers conducted the operation. They were joined by four South Korean fighter jets and two planes from the Japanese Self Defense Forces.

The mission was meant to "strongly counter North Korea's repeated ballistic missile tests and development of nuclear weapons,” according to South Korean officials.

“This complex mission clearly demonstrates our solidarity with our allies and underscores the broadening cooperation to defend against this common regional threat,” said Gen. O’Shaughnessy, Commander of the United States Pacific Air Forces.

The joint exercise comes two days after North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un successfully tested another medium-range ballistic missile, this time flying over Japanese territory. It is the first time a rocket from the communist nation had flow over another country.

President Trump harshly condemned the launch, warning Kim that “all options are on the table” to prevent future nuclear and missile tests.
