Units of the Iraqi Federal Police made new advancements against ISIS terrorists in the old city of Mosul earlier on Monday.

They have already approached the Great Mosque of Al Nouri and proceeded 100 meters in the east wing of the old city of Mosul and some 200 meters in the west wing, also in the old city of Mosul.

While backed by tanks of the ninth Armored Division, the Federal Police units made progress north of the town of Hamam Al Alil, located south of Mosul and on the west bank of the Tigris river.

36 ISIS terrorists were killed and of 13 military installations destroyed, in addition to a bicycle bomb.

Meanwhile The Iraqi army kept firing missiles on ISIS positions in the old city and targeted their headquarters.

3 ISIS leaders were reportedly killed and 17 others wounded, including a Saudi citizen after Al Badr Brigade 313 targeted ISIS positions southeast of Samarra. While backed by the Iraqi Army, they also managed to thwart a new ISIS offensive in the north of Al Anbar province, in addition to gaining control of the local ISIS communications building and car-bomb making factory in Badush area.

The Leader of Al Badr organisation, Hadi Al Amiri, confirmed on Sunday that Iraqi forces managed to cut all ISIS supply routes from Syria and that the Iraqi branch of ISIS can no longer enter ISIS-held territories in Syria .

ISIS terrorists were also hit from the sky. Army helicopters carried out operations, targeting several ISIS vehicles that were intended to leave for the desert areas of Nineveh province, in Hawija district of Kirkuk province.

According to the latest field reports, Iraqi Air Force units launched intensive raids on ISIS positions in the Old Mosul. Previously there were several sniper operations carried out. The area is said to be infested with ISIS snipers, thus making the fight rather difficult and long-lasting.

Several neighbourhoods in the east coast of the city of Mosul have so far been liberated. The clashes against ISIS terrorists in the old city of Mosul are still ongoing.
