Good morning everyone, it looks like the final piece of the jigsaw puzzle is coming together with a bang as the set is scene for extraordinary heatwave to impact large parts of south eastern and eastern Australia between now and the weekend.

All of SA, VIC, NSW and most of Queensland will be impacted by this heat.. Already parts of QLD and NSW have been for weeks!

Parts of SA, north western Victoria, inland regions of NSW and southern inland of QLD is likely to see temps soar as high as 47c! Especially Thursday to Sunday period.

Coastal areas of SA and Victoria will not be hit as hard with this heat but will still be hot, Tasmania once again will mostly miss this extreme heat.

It is likely Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra, Sydney and Brisbane will all see this heat.. Adelaide is likely to see temps well into the low 40's, Melbourne should nudge 40c Thursday, ACT may see temps reach 40c by end of the week which is rare in itself, Sydney especially western suburbs may see temps reach 46c-47c during the weekend!!

Fires will also become a MAJOR CONCERN especially through NSW and south east QLD during the weekend although some of the rain which eastern NSW will see next two days will reduce the risk slightly, recent rains in SA and Victoria will also keep the risk much lower of disastrous fires.

The good news the pattern is finally about to change.. This intense and ongoing heatwave for some people will come to an end early next week for large parts of south eastern and eastern Australia as large parts of this intense heat gets flushed out by a strong cold front introducing milder air through large parts of south eastern Australia.

Please remember to take precautions with this extreme heat!!

- Keep all fluids up
- Don't do any strenuous activity
- Keep out of direct sunlight
- Keep an eye on pets, children, elderly and the sick.
