ALERT: 5.8 quake near North Pole

Am I the only one imagining the effects that a quake this size will have on destabilising methane hydrates as well as, perhaps, on the ice?

This is weird: A magnitude 5.8 earthquake has struck in the waters of the Barrow Strait, north of the Arctic Circle, about 86 km east/southeast of Resolute, Canada! There are NO active Fault lines anywhere near this area.

The quake took place at about 6:47 PM eastern US time, at a shallow depth of only 18.9 km.

The National Tsunami Warning Center did track the quake, but reported that NO TSUNAMI was generated. Their report is as follows:
