Information Released on June NATO Exercise in Kherson

Translated by Ollie Richardson for Fort Russ

[Disclaimer: This information has not been confirmed by NATO or related persons or bodies]

30 May, 2016
During the intelligence activities by the "Odessa" brigade it became known that military exercises under the auspices of NATO will be held on the territory of the Kherson region in the first half of June. Such countries as Ukraine, USA, Turkey, and other contingents of NATO forces will take part.
Military equipment and heavy weapons involved in the above event will arrive and be unloaded at the deep-sea ports of Odessa and Nikolaev. With the above mentioned ports, it will spill over into the territory of Kherson region, namely the venue of military maneuvers.
One of the notable nuances is that the Western-controlled media is silent about these exercises. This occurs despite the fact that previously such plans were preceded any public statements or publication in the news.
In addition, another factor is that the accumulation of troops and military equipment will be in close proximity to the state border with the Russian Federation, namely the Crimean Peninsula.
Also, attention should be paid to the fact that over the past week Israeli vessels, in very small volumes and with an urgent speed, exported concentrated vegetable oil and grain through the Nikolaev seaport. It was very similar to the desire in short notice to remove liquid assets from certain territories. At the same time, given the agility of the Israelis, all this can have an ulterior motive.
The "Odessa" brigade focused on the fact that because of a combination of the information received in light of the aggressive policy of the West, the vassal government in Kiev, and also the created and supported armed groups, it looks quite alarming. Thus, there is a definite probability of a possible aggravation of the military-political situation in the southern regions of Ukraine in the form of armed aggression against the Russian Federation, namely Crimea.

The United Kingdom is ready to deploy at least 1,000 troops to the Baltic States bordering with Russia, backing them with tanks and artillery in order to boost the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO)’s buildup in the region, a new report has revealed.

London is expected to announce the decision at the upcoming NATO summit which will be held in the Polish capital of Warsaw in July, The Times reported.

The US-led military alliance plans to deploy up to 4,000 additional troops in Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania and the British deployment would make up one of NATO’s battalions, the newspaper added.

Originally, the US had planned to provide half of the forces, while Germany and the UK shouldered the rest.

However, Washington changed its mind later on and said it would only provide one 1,000-strong battalion, urging the European members of the alliance to spend more on their own defense.

According to the Times, UK military officials are considering plans to stockpile tanks and other heavy equipment across Eastern Europe to further NATO’s so-called “enhanced forward presence.”

British Defense Secretary Michael Fallon said in February that “2016 will see a particular focus on the Baltic region” to deter “the Russian aggression.”

US State Department Issues European Travel Alert - Warns Of Terrorist Attacks

In a somewhat stunning warning, The US State Department has issued a travel warning for Europe for the next 3 months due to the risk of "potential terrorist attacks." We can only imagine what Europe's tourism ministers will have to say about this...

As part of the State Department’s continuous efforts to provide Americans travelling abroad with information about relevant events, we are alerting U.S. citizens to the risk of potential terrorist attacks throughout Europe, targeting major events, tourist sites, restaurants, commercial centers and transportation. The large number of tourists visiting Europe in the summer months will present greater targets for terrorists planning attacks in public locations, especially at large events.

An interview by Afshin Rattansi with the head of Britain’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Crispin Blunt, on the dangerous state of British-Russian relations.

Nuclear Hype: Russian & British Relations ‘Are in Dangerous Place’

Is the hype real?

In the following excerpt from Going Underground, Afshin Rattansi interviews the head of Britain’s Foreign Affairs Committee on the state of British-Russian relations Crispin Blunt.

Blunt believes the state of relations between the two nations is in a ‘dangerous place’, and does not appear to rule out the possibility of open war between them.

While some believe NATO and Russia are on a collision course thanks to Russian actions, it can easily be seen that the real aggressor here is actually NATO.

Less than a month after a damning report emerged that a high-ranking police officer has alleged that his seniors tried to strike the word rape from an internal police report after the mass sexual assaults in Cologne over New Year, Germany is gripped in a new sexual assault scandal involving refugees. Eighteen German women have filed police complaints saying they were sexually assaulted at a musical festival in Darmstadt. Police arrested three refugees from Pakistan at the scene after three of the women immediately reported their attacks.

According to Die Welt, the sexual assaults are reported to have taken place at the Schlossgrabenfest music festival in the city of Darmstadt, near Frankfurt, on Saturday night. The festival in Darmstadt took place over four days and attracted some 400,000 revelers.

Phone and online survey shows a 52-48 split in favour of leaving the EU as referendum campaign gathers steam

A VOTE for Brexit in the upcoming European Union referendum could be the first step in the dismantling of the entire EU, experts have predicted.

Growing Eurosceptic factions in countries such as Denmark, Czech Republic and Poland could force similar referendums across the bloc if Britons choose to severe ties with Brussels fat cats in June.

Antonio Barroso, senior vice-president of political risk consultancy at Teneo Intelligence believes a British rejection of Eurocrats in June could lead the “disintegration” of the EU.

He said: “The main concern is that an unexpected exit of the UK from the EU could lead to similar initiatives in other member states, making Brexit the first step towards the disintegration of the union.”

Mr Barroso warned that Denmark could be the next nation to quit the bloc due to the prominence of eurosceptic Danish People’s Party (DF).

Not having to contribute to the EU budget will mean an immediate cost reduction of around €180 per person in the UK, raising the prospect of tax reductions that could benefit businesses

Legislation: We wouldn't be bound by the European Parliament, which is considered by many to be undemocratic. This is because its Commission which proposes legislation is not directly elected

Crime fighting: The European arrest warrant helps us fight against cross-border crime, allowing the police to bring justice without drawn-out extradition procedures

He added: “Brexit could embolden the increasingly popular DF to push for its own referendum project.

The DF may at the very least further limit the pragmatic Venstre party's room for manoeuvre on EU issues.”

The right-wing Danish People’s Party, which has in the past called for the EU to have less influence over Denmark’s affairs, is currently the second largest party in the country’s parliament.

Denmark has already rejected calls for Brussels to have more control.

In 2000, 53 per cent of voters chose not to join the Eurozone, while last December Denmark chose to retain its exemption from certain EU rules such as asylum and border control.

Speaking about the Czech Republic, Mr Barroso said: “A potential constitutional change may enable several opposition parties to push for a referendum."

And the latest from Syria – an accusation by the Turks of the Russians

Turkey blames Russia for airstrikes in Syrian province of Idlib, MoD denies allegations

The Russian Defense Ministry has rejected allegations that the Russian Air Force delivered airstrikes on Idlib city, Syria. Reuters earlier reported that Russian airstrikes targeted a number of sites in the city, including one next to a hospital.

The Department of State did not back the accusations that Russian jets were responsible for airstrikes that killed at least 23 people in Syria’s Idlib province, and said the US was working with Russia to figure out what happened.
We’re still looking into what happened in Idlib. We don’t have a great sense of complete knowledge here of who’s responsible,” State Department spokesman John Kirby told reporters Tuesday.

We’re going to continue to work closely – inside the cessation of hostilities task force – with the Russians to try to figure out what happened here, and we’ll take it from there,” Kirby said. “Obviously, the images coming out of Idlib are very troubling. Obviously, the killing of innocent civilians is a violation of the cessation of hostilities, period.”

Up to 28 people, including seven children, were killed in overnight airstrikes in Idlib on Monday, according to the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. The SOHR blamed Russia for the “heaviest bombardment there since a cessation of hostilities was agreed in February,” according to Reuters, claiming that one of the bombing sites was next to a hospital.

The Russian Defense Ministry rejected the пallegations.

German authorities exert pressure on politicians, public figures, businessmen and athletes who want to visit Crimea, German politician and head of the German party "Unity" Dmitry Rempel confessed during a press conference in Simferopol.

According to him, entrepreneurs and politicians are subject to pressure from several German agencies.

"Some business representatives who traveled with us had to undergo various check-ups, while their bank accounts were closed. Students were told that this trip might mean the end of their student careers," Rempel said, adding that similar measures applied to hockey players who joined the delegation.

According to the latest data, some members of the delegation were forced to abandon their trips to avoid losing their jobs
