ISIS in Afghanistan plans to attack Central Asia & Russia

Zamir Kabulov, the Russian presidential representative to Afghanistan and head of the second Asian Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, expressed his deep concerns regarding the flourishing ISIS activities in Afghanistan.

“The number of the so-called ISIS guerrillas in Afghanistan has alarmingly increased, posing a direct threat against Central Asia and Russia.” Speaking in a press conference held yesterday, Kabulov pointed out to more than 10,000 ISIS jihadis in Afghanistan.

“Only one year ago, their number barely exceeded 100 people; but to our despair, today, they display a significant growth in this region”, he added “ISIS’ Afghanistan branch has been trained for the Central Asia and Russia in particular and often the spoken language is Russian,” concluded Mr. Kabulov.
