A major anomoly in the Arctic ice

Please ignore the insane comments by the person who compiled the video

In the meantime here is a commentary from Malcolm Light

"Bravo!! Dorsi!

"The whole of the Arctic seabed is covered with methane hydrates and NASA satellites should have long ago defined where the major plumes were coming out.

"It is clearly a surface methane vent hole in the ocean ice analagous to the large methane vent holes that appeared all over northern Siberia this year.

"It means we have overheated the Arctic seafloor to the extent where the methane hydrates are now unstable and we could have further major releases at any time.

"We have already lit the fuse on a giant methane subsea permafrost bomb in the Arctic which can go off at any moment."

Here are some more comments from Dorsi Lynn Diaz on Facebook'

A comment from a poster at YouTube: "It's only 10 degrees Celsius. Only 10 Degrees. A planetary shift of 3 degrees Celsius making the average yearly temp warmer, would have catastrophic consequences. Stronger and more frequent storms, extended droughts, much longer summers, a complete upheaval of the seasons. So a mere 10 degrees Celsius change is a major event that should bepaid attention to and find out if is is natural or man made. That little dot on the screen that is so insignificant is probably the entire size of L.A. to draw on a comparison. Do u know the amount of energy that it would take to shift that much water at least, but probably much higher than, 10 degrees Celsius? It would be a unbelievable large amount of energy. I say more than 10 degrees because the ice melted quickly. ice melts faster the warmer the water is."

Another comment on this: "That is a thermal image that he is viewing. It is not a hole, it is a spherical area of warmer surface roughly the size of the big island of Hawaii." So if that is true I would say we are witnessing something catastrophic happening up there now.

"We've found continuous, powerful and impressive seeping structures more than 1,000 metres in diameter. In a very small area, less than 10,000 square miles, we have counted more than 100 fountains, or torch-like structures, bubbling through the water column and injected directly into the atmosphere from the seabed," Dr Semiletov said, "We carried out checks at about 115 stationary points and discovered methane fields of a fantastic scale - I think on a scale not seen before. Some of the plumes were a kilometre or more wide and the emissions went directly into the atmosphere - the concentration was a hundred times higher than normal." - Vast methane 'plumes' seen in Arctic ocean as sea ice retreats, by Steve Connor in The Independent, December 13, 2011.

"Carana’s evidence points to the strong probability of a gigantic methane burp from the Arctic, and in particular from the methane stored in the Gakkel Ridge. In one emission this would be many times more than all the emissions so far from all industrial uses. In Fig 11 Carana demonstrates how the abrupt release of such a large amount of methane"

  1. Hi Robin,

I enjoy your blog and look forward every evening (I am in the UK) to your new postings.

Here is a story worth looking at, as is the blog site as a whole.
