Weather Snow blankets Spain, Balkans suffer floods

Snow, the first of the winter, closes schools and causes traffic disruption in northern Spain. Asturias and the Basque Country were on maximum red alert, while another thirty five provinces were on a lower orange warning. Flooding rain has hit the Balkans with some areas submerged for the fifth time in twenty months.
