'Twitler': Turkey's Twitter ban sparks outrage, social media mocks



Activists in Turkey are furious at the Prime Minister's attempts to block Twitter, as a method of avoiding further unrest a week before local elections. Even the country's President joined the criticism ... via a series of tweets. The government did ban the network, but soon enough users found a way to dodge it - posting mocking messages in response. Protesters say that by attacking social sites, authorities are simply trying to sweep corruption scandals under the rug.
