The Lifeboat Hour

On tonight’s LIFEBOAT HOUR at 9 PM Eastern time (US) – EVENTS IN TURKEY are center stage for all of us. What began as an #Occupy sit-in to prevent the destruction of trees and the last remaining public commons in Istanbul at Taksim Square’s Gezi Park, has spontaneously involved much of the planet in solidarity protests in the face of the unprecedented carnage and brutality unleashed on the heroic Turkish people.

What is dawning on all of us is that there is only one enemy; infinite growth, repression, and economic rape, fostered by a corporate/fascist tyranny that is emerging with brutality, murder and barbaric cruelty around the globe. And in that awareness, everyone chaffing under the lash of oppression, everyone who is awake, everyone who has had enough and is willing to die for their freedom is Turkish now.
