Cyclone over the Beautort Sea

I am away for the next day or so so wil not be able to monitor this until I get back.

By comparison the Great Arctic cyclone of 2012 was 962

mbar (28.4 inHg)

Major cyclone over the Arctic

Basin

Strong Arctic cyclone (971 mb) over the Beaufort Sea today. We will wait and see how much damage this does to sea ice in the region.

You can see just how thin the ice is in the region - about 0.5 m
