Stemming leaks

There is no doubt that there is a black-out of information since Tepco invited the Press for a conducted tour of Fukushima – since then little or no information has been coming out, espcially regarding the spent fuel rods of Fukushima #4.

The government is in the process of passing a States Secret Act that would make it a criminal offence for journalists to reveal “state secrets”; in the meantime, as this shows, Tepco are using police and secret police to vet workers in an attempt to stem leaks (of information)

It is obviously the intention of Tepco and the Japanese government to keep the world in the dark. It is our job, where we can, to shine a light on these dark places.

It is the opinion of Robert Jefferson that Tepco, when and if they start removing fuel rods, will choose the easy ones first so they can announce some early successes.

Fukushima worker “Police and secret police may start investigating every worker’s background, thought, family etc..”

The Fukushima worker “Happy11311″ commented on Twitter that the government of Japan may start the throughout investigation about every Fukushima worker for their background. The investigators would be police and secret police. The background would contain family structure, religion, thought, criminal record, debt etc..

He assumes this is due to the potential National Security Council of Japan that the House of Representatives has just approved and the potential Secrecy Law. It may cause the further shortage of the workers too.
