Two years ago, a man in Tunisia named Mohamed Bouazizi set himself on fire in the nation's capital city out of desperation over the economy, setting off the overthrow of Ben Ali's government. A few days ago, this man set up a camera and tripod, doused himself in gasoline, and set himself on fire on the national mall. He later died from his injuries.
