Water shortage in Pakistan capital

Pakistan: Water shortage intensifies in Capital

Owing to the prolonged power outage and decrease in water level of Simly Dam, the water crisis have gripped the capital, increasing the miseries of the citizens.

The inflow of water to the dam is near to none, causing decreased of water level in the dam upto 2266 feet while the water supply to the city would be cut down to 24 million gallons in coming days, if the dryness of weather persists.

The protracted power outage also affected supply of water through tube wells while the water supply to the city from Khan Pur Dam would be limited to 5 MGD from June 1.

Meanwhile, the severe water crisis occurred in different areas of the city, including Sector I-8, I-10, G-10 and G-11
