Impact of collapse on Greeks


Crisis forces Greeks to keep cash out of banks

Billions of dollars have been withdrawn from Greek banks due to the financial crisis. Between January and October last year, Greeks and Italians invested in property in the UK worth some $500m.

As Paul Brennan reports from Athens, Greeks have a tradition of putting their money anywhere but in a bank.
