TangataWhenua.com received the following photo of one protester’s bail conditions detailing that they are not allowed to associate with Mana Movement co-vice president John Minto or to travel to the Glen Innes community.
We’re wondering what happened to the right to political association? John Minto is after all one of the leaders of a political party that has a presence in the New Zealand Parliament
Yesterday Tuesday 17th John Minto and other activists were brutalised by the police during their protest against the evictions in Glenn Innes.
Hone Harawira has said he will join the actions and is requesting Mana members and everybody who wants to support the demonstrators to join him at 5.30 pm at the public library of Glen Innes on Line Road then march to Glen Innes police station, bring placards, your whanau, video cameras and your voice.'
It has been difficult to find anything in the New Zealand media, except for these two small items.
Glen Innes residents protest state housing removal

Glen Innes residents protesting the removal of state houses say they're in it for the long haul.
Three locals are lying under a removal truck trying to stop Housing New Zealand's redevelopment project in the Auckland suburb.
They say they're prepared to stay all night.
Police say it's not safe to leave the vacant house on piles all night.
A number of police officers are on site and two paddy wagons have arrived.

Residents of the Auckland suburb of Glen Innes are promising they'll continue to fight efforts by Housing New Zealand to redevelop their neighbourhood. co-vice president John Minto or to travel to the Glen Innes community.
